Get it tuned, these things are so detuned in all its modes. OMG look at that exhaust, lucky here in NZ we can ditch the cat and that exhaust + tune and it just has so much more horsepower and runs a lot smoother in all modes.
ОтветитьNew bikes look great. Enjoy!
ОтветитьNiceeeeee bike 👍👍
ОтветитьIf it doesn't fit , it wouldn't go on my bike. Making adjustments is not good.
ОтветитьGood morning lovely bike adventure spec do rear rack and side racks top kit will all fit and not expensive, top company.
ОтветитьBought a 2024 model a few weeks back with only a couple of hundred miles on it, lowered the back with drop links and dropped the front through the yolk. Immediately took it off road and ran heavy trails, hill climbs, miles and miles of gravel roads and even several jumps. The only thing the standard tires could not handle was mud. Took it on a couple of hundred mile road trip through the twisties and it handles like a house fly. Should have bought one years ago...Enjoy.
ОтветитьI find the Pirrelli STR to be excellent. I'm on my 4th set on the Africa Twin and my Triumph scrambler. My tyre of choice for adventure bikes.
Congratulations on your new bikes. They look great and not a zip tie in sight. 😂
Hi Rich and Ewa, loving the new bikes. Nothing better than a new bike day. Just wondering what your final thoughts were on the Benelli TRK’s? Can’t wait for your next adventure ❤
ОтветитьI get my new bike on Friday. It's not a Tenere, classic 650. Got me wondering if i've made the rite choice? I own a tracer as well it's been a great bike. All the best from Australia
ОтветитьT7, fantastic choice. Can't wait to see what you get up to.
ОтветитьRegarding the racks - for a start nicecnc gear is cheap copies of Perunmoto racks. And your main mistake was trying to fit pre 2024 rack to the new 2025 bike which has all new plastics
ОтветитьBest thing you can do with that engine is have it mapped and have some of engine braking torque smoothed out. Transforms it!
ОтветитьI recommend a 16 tooth JT front cush sprocket, the rubber 'cushion' smooths out any throttle/clutch snatch (although might be improved on the new throttle by wire version) and, you rev less when doing higher speeds on dual carriageways and motorways, it'll hardly make a difference to it's low gear off-road capabilities (unless you're a pro, which I ain't neither) 🙂
ОтветитьCongrats . Thought you might have gone Voge . Anyway, enjoy the new toys
ОтветитьI always thought that the plastic handguards were to protect ha d from rain and cold biting in. The new ones protect the bike instead of keeping hands warm. I can't imagine modifying a brand new bike unless I was planning on a big off-road adventure. I'd trust that engine guard, I wouldn't attempt anything harder than the original belly pan could handle. Each to their own though, you two have much more money then I do, we'll done😁
ОтветитьExcellent choice guys!! Mine is 2021 model, done 45 000km (since new) with it, no issues whatsoever.
Just got back from Namibia & Botswana trip, fully loaded with gear etc. with no hassles, enough power to ensure easy ride even when loaded with soft luggage & topbox.
Happy miles, you will love them to bits!
Nice bike im on my second t7 done over 20,000 miles bomb proof. Rally raid make good panier shield which are compatible with adventure spec rack all spaced out so nothing touches the panals the best in my opinion. Pirelli scorpion str tyres are great on the road ok on dry stone off road but useless in mud wet grass or rutts. I put mitas xt+ on mine they are fairly cheap and look great on the bike and work great off road but. You do feel the nobbles on the road its always a compromise. Strange thing about the t7 is how well it handles in the twisties for a dual purpose bike.
ОтветитьLovely bikes. That was a curveball, I didn't expect T7.
TBH it could've anything and I'd still say the same 😂
You pair must be gagging now the other bikes have been returned.
Have fun playing with your bits Rich. Unlucky those bits weren't right but that's life i suppose. Not all stuff is 100% guaranteed. Good info for other followers making a similar jump.
Congrats you two, well done! Great choice, safe rides out there and more awesome adventures on the way! Lezzzz gooo! 👍👍
ОтветитьLooks like Stevie Wonder welded that Bash Plate.
ОтветитьThis low model is still taller than the AT and probably higher sprung. Given that most of your riding is on road and the AT is known to be much more comfortable in that environment, I wonder what your reasoning was for picking the Ténéré over the Africa twin?
ОтветитьWheres the CNC link ? Cant see it
ОтветитьSo if Chinese bikes are so good why did you go for Japanese, what a load of malarkey !!!.
ОтветитьCongrats you two! Welcome to the Tenere fam ;-) I put a quickshifter on my T7 a while back and is nothing but smiles going full on gas ripping up gears on our California canyons! looking forward to seeing your guys new rides! The STR tires on the bike are great on the road but really don't have the best tread life. I built my T7 to be road focused as best as possible with dirt roads secondary. I found the Avon Trail riders 90/10 tire on the T7 absolutely rips! and no problem in gravel, dirt roads. Cheers from Los Angeles
ОтветитьDo you both actually go off road 🤔🤷🏻
ОтветитьI love Pirelli Rally STRs. Has them on a few bikes . Utterly brilliant on road despite the blocky look and ok for light off roading . Give them a go before binning
Ответитьcongratulations on your new bike ❤ I bought last week exactly same bike. In terms of luggage I choose Kreiga OS 18 soft begs (water proof ) and they are easy to put on n off plus looks cool. I will not put any protection to rear so in case these rear panels loose their colour due to rubbing etc or break then I will buy new one.
ОтветитьQuad lock charger doesn't work for Pixel 9.
ОтветитьAs a motorcyclist myself, it saddens me that once again, a so-called ADVENTURE BIKE has got to be ADVENTURISED
that stock bash plate is something you would eat your dinner off, and the Hand guards are made of jelly
As for the tyres
Stop reading reviews and test the tyres on the bike
Everyone and his dog change the tyres before they even try the stock ones
How will you know if the tyres you put on are any better. ( Oh, because someone else says so)
Confidence and determination are better than changing the tyres
All the best with the bikes
Love the colour 😍
Great video guys, Nice looking bike. I will be riding to Dartmoor tomorrow withg the GF, we will be looking out for you 2 on your new T7's :) Crash bar bags are a great addition, love my Lomo ones. Ride safe, enjoy your off roading.
ОтветитьI'd say you keep the tires until you see their limit. For light offroad they should be just fine. For mud, even 50-50 tires aren't any good.
ОтветитьCongrats on the new bikes, you wont be disappointed, the T7s are amazing, im on my 2nd brand new on in 2 years, bought a World raid new in 22, then changes to the Extreme in 24. Enjoy the many miles with smiles.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьBike looks great 😎
ОтветитьTake your time choosing tires. It's always a compromise with on road comfort and off-road capability.
ОтветитьGiant loop soft luggage. Sturdy no racks needed.
ОтветитьLove the new bike! I've got SW Motech stuff on my bike and it's really good stuff as you say. Cheers.
ОтветитьCongratulations with the bikes. Personally I hoped you were going for the Hymalayan, but hey, no bad feelings 😂😂. Enjoy you days on the bike with Ewa.
Greetings Pat and Jimmy, Norway
Hi guys! Are the sw motech crash bars from the previous model?
ОтветитьRespect to you Rich for telling it how it is regarding a motorcycle product, and your honest opinion backed up with reasons.
ОтветитьAmazing that people think they need a bigger bash plate yet it’s Yamaha who will be at a loss with warranty claims should their stock plate not protect the engine
ОтветитьLove the new bikes, i looked at one of these but an older model, unfortunately i couldn't afford it, so i got the versys 650 as bridge had 0% deal on in April, i look forward to the future videos with your new bikes, and maybe see you at Paignton bike night.
ОтветитьGreat video. Are the two bikes the same colour?
ОтветитьTrust me. I’ve tried a lot of tyres. The STR is a great tyre on the road, good tyre on dry hard pack trails, poor on grass and downright dangerous on wet grass/mud.
ОтветитьInteresting choice , did you also consider the Transalp?
I fitted the low seat to the Transalp brings seat height down to 830mm.
But from all accounts the Tenere is a good bike , as you already know just needs weight kept low .
I thought I heard you mention a lower seat in your previous review, did I imagine it and if there is one available did you go for that too? It's still going to be too tall for me even in the lowered version.
ОтветитьHow many lbs did you add to the bike with the new accessories? Thanks
ОтветитьI'm looking for the rear shielding of the motorcycle. You can get a link to the order
