People can bash Rick all they want, but a pawn shop isn't going pay you top dollar for whatever you're selling. You go to a pawn shop for immediate cash and a lot less hassle. This guy wasn't serious about selling - he just wanted to flex.
ОтветитьHe did right by not selling!
ОтветитьTalk About a Piece of History :)
ОтветитьIt still does not prove its Jimi's guitar ,unless they did a dna test ?
ОтветитьDefinitely not used by hendrix. His guitars are all stored away by relatives
ОтветитьI read from the comments that the guitar was sold on an auction for 2 million so this guy earned about 1.2 million from the fees
Ответитьcue to British dude=my estimate? Priceless, this particular guitar belongs in a museum as a public good, like a Van Gogh or a Monet...
Ответитьi wish i got music. i just hear random sounds kids make in these videos but i know its pros doing what they do
ОтветитьAs soon as he said "I'd take 750,000 for it", I would have said no thank you, have a good day.
ОтветитьWOW, A true piece of history , reserved Auction and let the rich people pay you 👏👏
ОтветитьRick calls his guy, still tries to low ball
ОтветитьRick fkd up there
ОтветитьRest in peace Mr Jimi Hendrix God Bless 🙏 to you and your families and friends 😊
ОтветитьNobody in their right mind brings that guitar to a pawn shop unless it is arranged with producers to make the show more interesting. It would not be to sell it. That guitar would be sold at a well-publicized auction.
ОтветитьEven Rick's expert said up to 1 million and of course Rick had to low ball big time... Sorry I kind of like this show from time to time but I would never pawn anything there....
ОтветитьHan var sku den beste Jimmi
ОтветитьI’d pay whatever a ‘63 Strat is worth, which would be a considerable amount. Hendrix may have sneezed on it, or played it, but if it was really one of his players there’d be a hole where the strap pin was removed from left handed playing, just as his other Strats. The nut would be reversed too, and nobody would want to change it back. This has only been talked up to be a Hendrix guitar. Talked up at a professional level 😂
ОтветитьI saw Jimmy play live in London in 1967 I remember he played behind his back which I thought was cool flashed his tounge out a few times lol Walker Bros were top of the bill.
ОтветитьIf it was Hendrix' guitar, why was it strung right-handed?
ОтветитьRick could've bought it for $750,000
ОтветитьWhy is that guitar strung right handed if was jimmies?
ОтветитьHonestly 1.2 million dollars
Is cheap that guitar 🎸 would probably be around 2 million right now.
When you know your product well, you never sell short. Im glad he got a great price at the auction.
ОтветитьPawn srat is rubb
Ответитьdont take it into a pawn shop if you want top dollar
ОтветитьWay to go Rick 😀
ОтветитьI met jimi at Electric Lady Land just before he died
ОтветитьA few things make me suspicious about this guitar. Why doesn’t it have a drill mark for a strap on the bottom horn so Jimi could play standing up, which he almost always did. Second, Band of Gypsies is a live album and this guitar was not played at those shows. Then the guy lists another song that isn’t even in Hendrix’s catalog. Third, there isn’t a single photo of Hendrix playing this guitar, and it would be easily recognizable as Hendrix mostly played post CBS Strats with the larger headstock. I saw Al Hendrix signed the certificate, but I have never heard of him visiting New York which is where that studio is. How would he have any idea what was Jimi’s guitar?
ОтветитьSeems strange that it was strung for a right handed player.
Ответитьtheir are guitars and musicians of all years and eras worthy of being celebrated. but this is a guitar from THE musician who changed the way we listen to, play and understand rock music.
What could you achieve in 4 years?
And Joe gives me a hard time when I want 70$ for my Bass.....
Played on the records is almost better than played live. 3/4million for a Guitar is way too much.
I love this guy for not caving in...
ОтветитьImagine what Brian may's original red special would be worth if it ever came to auction. For me, that is the holy grail of electric guitars. Totally unique.
ОтветитьThat's not jimmy hendrix guitar 😂
ОтветитьThat low ball offer was an insult, exactly the reason I never watch that show.
ОтветитьThe reason this show is all fake, no one in their right mind would take that guitar to a pawn shop; it would go up for auction.
ОтветитьHendrix Had Many Strats 🎸 I Had a Friend Now Diciest… That Owned One I Personally Checked The Serial #
ОтветитьHeh, Heh, Heh......IF this guy could have gotten a hold of Clapton, Robert Cray, Slash, Gary Clark Jr, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Johnny Lane, Paul McCartney, Malcolm/Augus (AC-DC), Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, or many others....I would bet they would have given the $750,000 CASH on the spot, straight up, no taxes just to HAVE IT !!!
ОтветитьOh yes there is a guy name srv
ОтветитьThat is the guitar Jimmy Hendricks had playing Woodstock
ОтветитьLe doy 620 mil y se va pando
ОтветитьHonestly, honestly, I would’ve took the 600,000 and left. I feel like that guy was being massively stubborn. I mean it’s cash money $100 bills. I would’ve sold the guitar for 600 grand. If that’s how much he was willing to pay for it I mean I think 600 grand is a fair price. Even though it’s a $1 million guitar because it’s Jimi Hendrix guitar but he does take all the risk I think 600 grand was a fair price and I feel like the guy should’ve just took the money and ran.
ОтветитьI wouldn't let that go for less than a M
ОтветитьLet me give you a bag of Doritos for it
Ответить6 was a fair price. Should have took it
ОтветитьWhy wasn't there any strap button on the bottom horn, or any sign of one being there, if he did own it....I think it's not his
ОтветитьBut there is no evidence that was Jimmy guitar, no even pictures. That guitar is worth 30-50 grand. It's 1963 alpine white, same as mine
ОтветитьIt still concerns me that the guitar was not set up to play left handed.
ОтветитьHe played that same guitar playing Sargent Peper band
Ответить
