Instead of a office I would have just combined the break room and office together and then use that huge office space for a parts room for small parts like bolt and nut bins electrical connectors wire o-rings hose etc I built my shop in Draper about 5 years ago we have 4 16 foot tall doors that are 22 feet wide three bays that are double deep a office with two small offices and one large office space a bathroom with a large shower a kitchen and a upstairs space over the offices with alot of shelving and a furnace room with the water heater and electrical room and a overhanging parking area on the backside of the shop and a bay with a drive through area and then we have a acre and a half of parking/storage space in a fenced yard behind the shop the shop and office dimensions are about 250 feet wide 60 feet deep with 20 foot ceilings and radiant heating in the shop ac and forced air in the office and upstairs storage room the covered parking space is about 200 feet wide and 30 feet deep with a 16 foot height to park my backhoe mini ex skid steer and a couple of vehicles and racks for storage of equipment still need to get a two post lift installed that can lift 18000 pounds and possibly a 4 post lift that can handle 2-1/2 ton truck that is 18 feet long and 8 feet wide bed and some 4 door long bed trucks

My shop has a transmission urinal and a couple of deep transmission pans for the sink inside of a snap on tool box with a butcher block counter top and I used some old axle shafts to make my towel bars hand towel bar and toilet paper holder I put two snap on tool box locker in it for storage for towels toilet paper and cleaning supplies installed frameless shower glass and door for the shower

I dunno, not for me. I prefer a white toilet so you can easily see when it is dirty. All the rusty metal... It seems like it will be hard to keep clean and odor free.. Just my opinion.

Black fixtures and fittings require considerable maintenance to keep them at a respectable standard, white fixtures and fittings are much more tolerant as their consistent use over centuries has shown . Given that this unit serves a workshop it would all have been better in stainless steel. Style over function rarely works long term especially where function is the primary consideration.

Really awesome work and it looks amazing. For me personally i would of put a small wall or something to separate the toilet and turainal for cleanliness as backsplash etc happens no matter how good a shot you think you have..keep the dreams going and sounds like they love it

at 17 in, I would turn the transmission case around 180 degrees, so you have a built-in back wall splash and for fun!! the T.P. holder, I would have done an upright set up to hold the butt napkins lol but really though, this is an awesome build set up and so much outstanding work you have done!!

opefully the inside of the transmission case is well sealed. Cast aluminum is porous and will absorb the fluids it comes in contact with.
