Did that really cost 106,000$?
ОтветитьTo hell with groming menlook better with beards it's true you know what I mean
ОтветитьI love the channel John I just don't knot if I could do it to that piece of wood?? Anyone?
ОтветитьDoesn't lacquer yellow
ОтветитьAlways brush the pieces found with resin first.
Ответитьthat woodcraft store is about miles from my house
ОтветитьYou know you could have cut a string to lenght, tied one end to the nail and one end to the pencil.and got a circle the same way right ?
ОтветитьThe other piece of the slab looked really cool.
Ответитьdid you check the wood for warping after the burn?
ОтветитьI love it when its warped and shows the natural wood causing a orange color. Im going to try to make it and warp a side or the corners on purpose :)
ОтветитьI learned the yellow happens when you use the wrong resins. It cooks too fast and turns yellow but there’s probably other things that cause it too that I haven’t learned yet
ОтветитьI think yellow because of the spraying, best to seal with epoxy first before pouring
Ответитьmaybe build an star wars or star trek mini model fight scene table plate :D
ОтветитьI got a unreal idea for ya
ОтветитьA thin coat of a transparent "golden" resin would have made it all look intentional.
ОтветитьIt hurts my heart that you took a beautiful $4000 slab and basically wasted $2700 worth of it.
Ответитьsick!
ОтветитьOne carpenter to another. You took all that time and effort to wear that gas mask and then cut wood with a skill saw maskless. I pike my tools too man. And love to show them off ☺️
ОтветитьLove how you can get kicked in the jolly rancher and skittles yet keep goin and making something amazing! Keep it up man love all your videos. I think I’ve watched 3 years worth now catching up
ОтветитьI really LIKE that base , very creative!
ОтветитьIf you plan on using that much epoxy, try “poking” big holes in the bottom after you tip it upside down
ОтветитьYou people and your burned wood projects...Burned wood looks like crap. Why you like this method boggles my mind. But if that's what you like, have at it.
Ответитьdude so many bubbles in the epoxy
ОтветитьA perfect example of serendipity in my book. I was disappointed when you torched that whole slab. I thought it would be a bit plain just black and clear. Then when you said about the yellowing I was intrigued, and as soon as I saw that edge I thought, "That looks beautiful, like the reflection of fire.". It absolutely highlights that edge perfectly. Then when you cupped it and re-exposed the raw timber with Miss Piggy, I thought, "There you go, display that beautiful timber." Funnily enough Cam did the same thing with his charred table when he planned it because of a slight warp and ended up saying he loved the look. I agree with him. Like a nod to the original timber.
So, all in all, I think it actually came out more beautiful than you had actually planned.
And you gained a subscriber.
So you start by saying giving back to viewers who watch the video. Then the sleeves go up.
ОтветитьFor whatever reason I resisted watching this channel every time the algorithm told me I'd like it. But I finally caved, did what the algorithm told me to do and goddamn if they weren't absolutely 100% correct. John and crew have quickly become my favorite to watch and learn from. Really admire how all the mistakes are shown in real time and that John is very honest about how he feels when mistakes happen. Seeing him keep control of himself under that type of stress has legit helped me better deal with my own frustrations when I'm building. Love the channel, love the work. Fantastic all around
ОтветитьI dont know dude, i kind of dig it tbh!
I like the look of it myself.
Sick!
ОтветитьI love the end result ...it looks perfect, despite the "mistakes"... it's an awesome look when you were finished work'n it!
ОтветитьYou guys are bad ass
ОтветитьWhen you char your wood like that it tends to warp, thats probably why it was not level after the pour of epoxy. just a thought, love your videos keep up the good work!
ОтветитьHow the heck do I Epoxy a big crack in a live edge slab coffee table?
ОтветитьKind of felt like a shame to take such a nice slab and burn the bleep out of it. Fun idea for a table though.
ОтветитьAwe you cut all the good part lol
ОтветитьLove your content. I live a mile from the Wahl headquarters so was super excited to see them support you.
ОтветитьWhat is the sander are you using?
ОтветитьI take it the office has AC 😄 🤣 😂 great looking table, wish one could capture the flame in resin. The moment of time captured as flame kissed wood
ОтветитьWhy didn't u drill a hole in the end of ur compass stick hehehe.
Ответитьis it just mean or it seems like a painting.
ОтветитьLol.. the Napoleon cut to cracked me up
Ответитьwoodworking plan shutter
Ответитьwhat three character traits would your friends use describe you?
ОтветитьThe first time I did a river table I screwed it up and threw it in the burn pile. I've continued to make mistakes but have been able to reassess and fix them and stop losing my freaking mind when these mistakes happen. I credit a lot of that to you, watching you work through problems and giving awesome tips. Thanks for saving me time, money, and frustration!
Ответить"Sometimes we forget that epoxy is like really heavy" hahahahahahaha!
ОтветитьHow did you clean up the epoxy on the floor in your other video haha
ОтветитьСделайте субтитры РУССКИЕ
ОтветитьLoving the cranky dog🐶❤️. Lol... you crack me up bro. Lemons to lemonade 🤷♀️. Still looks amazing!
ОтветитьWow. Found your page today and I guarantee no work will get done until I binge each vid
ОтветитьOk John, John, you are sponsored by rocker, they have a small vacuum pouch system that will hold things down in you Cnc table
