Simone knows her body. She's been inside it since before she was born and is in deep harmony with it. She knew and understood that her body and mind were not in sync and KNEW the best thing for her was to withdraw to get back in harmony. When I heard she didn't feel mentally up for the 2020 Olympics I completely understood. Anyone who didn't, as far as I was concerned was an idiot.

It takes alot of guts for a person like Simone to pull out of the Olympics an event that is the pinnacle of sports a lot of respect to her

I detect a whole lot of jealousy around this young lady! The fact that those buttercups could never match up to the incredible Simone, tells me that they all simply have to suck it up, instead of criticizing her!

I had no problem understanding why she pulled the moment she did. Apparently a lot of people have no idea what it takes to compete at that level...at some point you are going to reach your limits. Well, she's good at dancing, too. I don't know why she didn't get first place in dancing with the stars. That was amazing to watch. She's a great person and guards her medals. A reporter asked if he could put them on, and she was like, no! She also has had struggles in her home life few know about. She knew when enough was enough and to destroy her demons.

No one is perfect. I don’t like it when people throw this term around as gratuitous praise. Simone may well be the best ever, but no one is perfect. The philosophy of no one is perfect ,but never stop striving for perfection is what I’m saying.

I think she is sloppy, despite the high level of skill. She doesn’t do her super hard moves to “TRUE” perfection.
Ex just cause Tonya Harding was the only one that could do a triple axel , does not mean she look good doing it or that the skill was performed to TRUE perfection.
She doesn’t flow, doesn’t smile or or show enjoyment during her performance. Nobody seems to to want to tell the truth.
And there are other things, that contribute to her poor sloppy gymnastics

We are talking about the same person who didn’t compete because she needed a mental health day! She only has to perform for a few days out of 4 years but she needed a mental health day and let her team and country down. She is far from the greatest of all time.
