YVYV: Democrat Congresswoman Andrea Salinas running for another term in Congress

Another congressional rematch is taking place in Oregon's 6th Congressional District which consists of Polk and Yamhill counties, and parts of Marion, Clackamas, and Washington counties.

That race is between Democrat incumbent Andrea Salinas, serving her first term in Congress, and Republican Tigard businessman Mike Erickson.

This heated race is a rematch from 2022 when Salinas beat Erickson by just two-and-a-half percentage points.

On today's program, which is sponsored by Willamette University, we bring you interviews from both candidates that focus on two big issues in this election: The cost of living and securing the southern border.
