To be brutally honest I don't really think you hit the nail on the head right..you gave us things that happened but you really didn't delve into why they were such a problem, Sega is at their best when fans can offer actual viable fucking solutions, which is why Taxman and his studio are probably better to sonic than Sega ever will be.

Boom was a failure because it was actually a fantastic game that they had to port to the Wii U in 3 months. That is actually NINTENDO'S FAULT for it's bullshit regarding third party support and nevr revealing their specs and hardware until you sacrifice three souls to satan and suck miyamoto's dick.

For Sonic 4, Sonic 4 was released at a time where sega was swamped with internet trolls bitching left and right and didn't know what to do with sonic, so at that point they just cut their losses. It's still p in the air but really the future of sonic 4 depends on how well Project Sonic 2017 does. Honestly? I'd love to see a reworking of sonic 4 from the ground up with Taxman as the developer and call it Sonic 4 ULTIMATE, which contains parts one and two with a reworked graphics and gameplay engine that fits sonic better than what Dimps was doing with him. Put that shit on switch and I'm sold.

Sonic genesis is unexcusable next...

Sonic 06 can have a fantastic story, there really is a lot of potential to what sonic 06 introduces to the lore it just has to be done right. For instance, get rid of the romance OR just rework Elise as a character, DON'T USE TIME TRAVEL AS A BULLSHIT STUPID PARADOX CRUTCH AND REWORK a LOT Of what actually happened, and the story could actually make some decent sense.

And ya know what's another worst thing that Sonic did that I'm surprised to see that didn't make it on the list? I'm surprised you didn't bring up the fact that Sonic had to be the only Sonic character for the following things: the only Sonic character to ever appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the only Sonic character to ever appear in Super Smash Bros. 4, the only Sonic character to be playable in Lego Dimensions and the only Sonic character to ever receive an Amiibo figure.

Who is Ken Penders?

Sonic Heroes can be played on modern PCs natively and setting it up is pretty easy. the resolution can be brought up to modern standards and widescreen can be implemented. I wish it was on steam so I could buy it have more long term support like SA 1&2. the isozone has it though.

While this is a solid list and I agree with most of this stuff have I do say that in my opinion 06 could have been the best (or at least my favorite) Sonic game ever I mean the core Gameplay comes from the Adventure games and the level design is a major improvement over the adventure games or really any 3d sonic game that I have played (and no Silver ball puzzle or Mach speed don't subtract from this sentence because this are both flaws that obviously are as bad (even through I personally love the Mach speed segments)as there area because the game is unfinished)
So If anything would I have just moved the death line so that there could have completed the games according to one of the writers of 06 is even 1/3 of the planed plot missing from the finished product and the amount of actual plot holes is not nearly as big as people love to pretend only because there can't grabs the idea of a causal loop and pre-destination paradoxe with are a part of this games plot.

One on my list would be Sega not wanting to acknowledge that the Master System line of completely original and seperate Sonic games exists. Why is this an embarrassment to them, enough to leave off "collections" that even include games which are nothing to do with Sonic! It's baffling. I can't find a reason.

Another awful thing SEGA thing did was abruptly cutting ties with the awesome Adventure voice cast.

I would have said #1 Ken Penders, the man who has been bullying Sega for the past decade & scheming the series ultimate demise. I agree with most of your points, although 06 wasn't that bad, it's story was good for the most part. We should have gotten ports of several older games, & we should have gotten Chao Gardens back by now.

Sega should focus on other series besides just sonic.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! For number 1 is the clothing problem. Who noticed that Sonic and other boys are naked, but girls are fully clothed (except Sally and female ocs) For me making girls naked as well is a brillant idea!

Nr.1 should be ,,ruining Sonic X". In Japanese that anime was so emotional that I cried COUNTLESS TIMES and if the American and Europe version was just like the Japanese version, Sonic X could've become one of the GREATEST ANIME IN THE WORLD, but no America and Europe had to ruin everything, by removing emotional bonds between characters, super funny scenes, epic speeches and replace them with an emotionless dub and cheap jokes! 😡
Speaking of dub, all Sonic Characters have PERFECT VOICES in the Japanese version, so if you Sonic Fans wanna play Sonic without wasting your life, then go to the option mode and change the language from English to Japanese with English subtitles. ☝️

For me Ken Penders is №1 in this list because of Sonic Chronicles cases.

I've read comments from people saying that "Sonic 2006" was actually good and that you shouldn't judge it cause it had so much potential. So according to them, we should judge based on what it was gonna be, and NOT based on the final product. I don't know who's more brain dead within this community. The Classic Fanboys who bitched about Sonic's eye color, or the Adventure fanboys cause they keep trying to justify bad games just because they played them when they were 5.

There really isn't anything wrong with Sonic Genesis for the Game Boy Advance as that port discredits all those 90's commercials about sonic being fast. Proverbs 16:18 could never be more truthful.
