When you play through this fight, your thumbs are likely sore from bashing him. Your thumbs are Asura; in pain, tired, but furiously struggling on.

When chaakravartin’s own button prompts appear, you get to see HIS side of the fight. HIS thumbs going as far as they can. Just like chaakravartin, those prompts get less and less input. They falter. They start to give in to the pain and exhaustion.

Your thumbs are beating his divine thumbs, so to speak. God losing power to you as you struggle on, unrelenting. You can’t be stopped, but he can be. God can’t keep lifting that heavy boulder over his head, but you can. Whoever wins is the one that smashes that boulder over the others head, and God just cannot lift it anymore, unlike you.

I know I know, pretty obvious, but I’m a dumb guy.

I think this chakravartin dude is a pretender god, basically mocking god by posing as him to destroy the goodness of what he has made. Notice, he made a sloppy attempt at imitating Buddha, as a faker of him. He has the overall look, yet his personality is NOT Buddha and his hairstyle is more like the very thing he was against (the cast system).

It’s like Asura killed a virus. Viruses are, though horrible, “one of the origins of life itself”

The line where Chakravartin says, “all the suffering this world has seen” is the single most horrible implication I have ever heard.

It translates to, all the evils that have EVER happened/occurred.

From shootings to dictatorships, it was ALL to: “find an heir”
That is absolutely horrific 🤮

Honestly I still think about Asura's enlightenment at the end.

"I finally understand it... the true reason for my wrath!

I could not stand it... there is always some fool who wants to rule the world! Forcing others to do what they cannot do for themselves! That's why I pray to no one, nor will I be prayed to!"


He basically encapsulated the irl reason people feel wrath. It's always a sense of injustice. It's the abuse of power against the innocent. So Asura reaches enlightenment and manages to kill god because he does not accept a world where the innocent would have to be abused, and he'd rather fight for millenia and die and reincarnate and headbutt whatever he has to in order to reject such a world.

Unironically this game is smart under all the screaming and punching.

I love how the ultimate philosophical battle about the Universe, life & death, the energies that power us and the ethics & merits of self-proclaimed 'Gods' existing to help or hinder the world and its peoples all boils down to two dudes powerful enough to destroy galaxies hitting each other in the face.
