Hate the pats but 07 pats are the greatest team ever assembled. It took a literal miracle for them to lose the Super Bowl. They win that game 99/100 and we all knew they were the best team in the league.

The 07 Patriots were on so much of a different level…they def deserve to be on this list, David Tyree be damned lol. That Super Bowl was the perfect definition of the phrase “Any given Sunday” 🤷🏻‍♂️ The Giants won the game but make no mistake about it, The Patriots were the best team in the NFL. For the 2007 pats I think are the greatest team ever 16-0 regular season 2-1 in the playoffs and if it wasn’t for the helmet catch and the pats would have won the football gods didn’t want it happen unfortunately still number 1 to me

The 1972 Dolphins actually lost 3 of their 6 pre season games. They were beaten by the Lions, Packers and Redskins.

The 2007 Patriots were one of the greatest REGULAR SEASON teams of all times. But you really can't reconcile that Super Bowl loss. The Giants weren't just some fluke. They took down two behemoths before they went against the Pats. And all three playoff games before the SB were away games for them. 2007 Pats can not be put in front of the 2007 Giants on any Greatest Teams list. Only a Greatest Regular Season Teams list.

They were the best scoring offense in the league, the second best scoring defense, they had 9 All-Pro players, including their quarterback Mark Rypien. They had 8 pro bowl players, they outscored opponents by 16 points/game, and in the playoffs, they outscored their 3 opponents by 20 points per game. Also, their coach was Joe Gibbs. People always talk about Bill Parcells, but Joe Gibbs won 3 titles with 3 quarterbacks in less than 10 years, and this was their best team. Joe Gibbs, all-pro quarterback, best offense, top 2 defense, beat their opponents up like it was easier than rolling out of bed. They're top 10, maybe even top 5.

Also, as a Packer fan, the 1996 team might be the most underrated team in NFL history. They went 13-3, outscored opponents by 15 points per game, had the league MVP, best scoring offense and defense, and no one mentions them as one of the 10 or 15 greatest teams ever.

Why was everyone mad cuz the 2007 Patriots were on this list with no superbowl when the 1968 colts didn't either?

The 91 Washington team gets no respect. They had to play against LT and Reggie White while in their prime. I believe they are the only team to go to the Superbowl while the opponents they faced cumulatively were over .500 and they dominated most of those games. The O line, receiving corps, running backs, D line, linebackers, DBs, Brian Mitchell on special teams. . . Coaching staff. . . Bruh. Even if just for that year, still one if the most dominant teams ever.
