The story continues though. They did hit it, so they stopped. The guys got out and one of the them picked up the bunny. It was dead, so he pulled a small bottle out of his jacket pocket and opened its wee mouth up and put in a couple of drops out of the bottle.

Next thing, the rabbit's eyes opened, it looked up and smiled at the guy, jumped down on to the road, looked up at them all, waved, then ran to the wall past the verge. At the top of the wall it stopped, looked back, waved again then jumped down the other side.

In the gloom they could see it running up the hill on the other side of the wall. At the top of the hill it stopped yet again, turned and waved, then bounded out of sight down the other side of the hill. Gone!

"What the hell was that you fed it?" asked one of the guys. His mate with the bottle replied, "Nothing much really, just a wee drop of hair restorer with a permanent wave!"
