Just a tip: for wardog brigands put the stubber on them instead of the havoc launcher. It will help you control better who is the closest eligible target, with the havoc it gives you indirect and can make it more difficult to control that.

First off, amazing game. It was very entertaining.

However it just bothers me when I see mistakes or missed opportunities. I'm not trying to be rude I just want to have the best understanding of the rules that I can. That being said, I don't know the rules for the death company so I can't point out any rules mistakes for them. Death Guard is my favorite faction though so I feel I know them pretty well, though please correct me if I'm wrong.

Mortarion ignores his own damaged state, at least that's what I see when I look it up and I have been playing it. He would ignore the damage reduction from Lamarties, which means that he probably did kill 4. Then, if you fell back Mortarion toward your 2 tanks they would have had much better shots. ( I think they could have wiped at least 1 squad with the buffs from Mortarion especially if you had 1 CP for Boilblight)
Monsters don't have the pistol restriction either so Mortarion should have been using his rotwind.

Also the Foul Blightspawn is a part of the Biologus Purifier's Squad so he should also have lethal hits on 5 as he gives the unit he is leading lethal hits.

Also, also not sure if its because you don't have that many other weapons actually modeled but in my opinion there is literally no reason to take boltguns for the plague marines. Even with the lethal hits. 2 flamers, 2 melta and a blight launcher just do way better in my opinion, and I know the unit with the Foul Blightspawn went on the side with no infantry, but that unit can have an insane overwatch with 3 flamers and lethal hits on 5 (way better than a drone).



Obviously this is a friendly game and it's not meant to be competitive so no matter what the most important thing is to have fun.
Keep up the good work making these awesome battle reports.

@winters, if you lightly sand your dice, they won't reflect the light in the room and be more visible. Maybe worth a try

I just realised as you were reading out Mortarion in the showcase he would also make your dudes ignore damage reduction, something I’ve never been doing with him. Shove some heavy weapons into a C’Tan near him and kiss them goodnight.

If you are locked in combat from the previous round. The defender fights first, even if the opponent has fights first. I have been told. Is that right??
