I buy ford parts on eBay but the seller is ford dealership
ОтветитьNeed a video on latest best plug for 5.0 coyote …dose motorcraft even make an iridium for it anymore ?
Most say sp 548 but that’s platinum
Great video I got to watch some more of your videos
ОтветитьGood stuff. Thanks for sharing the info and your experience. 👊🏻
ОтветитьI buy these at the dealer. Never worth the risk.
ОтветитьI live in Europe and bought 10 Motorcraft FL500S oil filters for my mustang bullit from Rockauto five years ago.
On the oil filter it is painted made in china !!!!
I don't believe it !!! How can Rockauto sell Motircraft filters made in China how can I know if they are real or fake.
It's a shame for this American company
I'm afraid to use them so I'm going to get one from the dealer
Someone was really desperate on making money
ОтветитьI use Tasca Parts for my Ford needs
ОтветитьHow very true I've seen my self! Thanks china
ОтветитьThank you...just found out all my truck issues hopefully..I just bought 2 coils from advanced auto. They are real..however got 8 fakes from ebay today ..then after your video I found out the original coils were fake with yellow on top and says Motorcraft with same type of label ing as the other fake.un real just had shop put plugs in .to...they didn't know or say anything..have 2000 f150 4.6
Ответитьwhat about rock auto . they are pretty good
ОтветитьWho cares if it’s Ford or not. If it works it works. Seems like your making something out of nothing just to get viewers.
ОтветитьAmazon and Ebay have a good return policy. I bought and installed, one cheap, counterfeit, ignition coil and it's still good after 30,000 miles. Performance has been good too.
Ответить8 DG511s too good to be true if theyre less than $100 for all 8. AutoZone and others sell them for $80 a pop. Thats $640.
No grease marker on my harness plugs and no fomoco stamos on any. None of the sprongs protrude.
Wow. This is probably why my trailer brake control isn’t working even after programming Thanks
ОтветитьI got one from Amazon, can't tell if it's real or fake, this is slightly different, DG 542, paint is in different area, top recessed area has no print, bag does have bleed holes...how is one to know for sure?
ОтветитьGloves😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe guy who makes the fake one’s watching this video and taking notes 😂
ОтветитьWhen I was with GM/Delco in the 1980s, we had a guy who was getting dealer mechanics to save him the real GM/Delco boxes, then buying them and reboxing aftermarket parts into them so that he could then sell them to independent shops so they could show there customers they were using genuine GM/Delco parts to fix their cars. He was making a ton of money.
ОтветитьWell it good to learn all the way to tell the difference, But if i order something and some times they will not take electric parts back. This means i am screwed. But thanks for helping.
ОтветитьThose are weird looking spark plugs can they be replaced with NGK Iridium type plugs ? Thank you for this tech information .
ОтветитьGood way to solve this, dont buy ford plugs.
ОтветитьBoggles my mind how many people who drive a $65k truck will try to save a few $ every 5000 miles on cheap oil, and every 30k-60k miles on fake spark plugs. Often times these are the same people who gladly pay $22 for a 16oz Coors light at a NASCAR race.
ОтветитьTo avoid the drama, could just buy parts at a dealer or Napa/AutoZone/Advanced Auto Parts.
ОтветитьThank you @FordTecgMakuloco.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU THANK YOU - your AWSOME I really appreciate your Knowledge .
ОтветитьBuy from Rock auto. Problem solved.
ОтветитьFunny, all you mentioned is cosmetic difference. All I'm interested in is performance.
ОтветитьI recently got burned using “OEM” motorcraft coils off eBay. Parts numbers matched and so did the colors on the connectors and boots. Caused a misfire smh.
Ответить💙Can you talk about the difference between the 2008F-150 BROWN BOOT COILS/SP509X vs the BLACK BOOT/SP546X please Thank You 💙
ОтветитьRock Auto baby 👶
ОтветитьYour full of crap and your fake beware people.old stock still is being used
ОтветитьI bought some mercon v off Amazon from seller store named GPS i hope they are legit
ОтветитьI bought one coil online to see if it was in fact an oem part (after watching this helpful video) it wasn't. If it were the real deal I would have purchased the remainder needed but now it's only a spare in case of an oem failure...
ОтветитьI guess by the coils I just put in that I was scammed, just by your description of the spring coming out of or protruding from the bottom of the coils. 🤬 I'll have to look into this!
ОтветитьThe gap in quality is much less than the gap in price
ОтветитьI bought a blower motor on Amazon for my wife's 2011 Ford Fusion. It said Motorcraft but lasted 5 months before starting to sound like baseball cards on the spokes of a bicycle. Box said made in Mexico, but the part said made in Vietnam. How can I tell if it's counterfeit?
ОтветитьThe fake looked better in quality.
Ответитьwhat about Rock Auto? was about to buy motorcraft ignition coils and plugs from them
ОтветитьSomeone in the supply chain has to KNOW the product has questionable sourcing.
ОтветитьI'm in the process of installing the OEM brake controller in my F150. I mistakenly bought a counterfeit one off Ebay. Didnt realize it until i watched Smackey's Garage video where he disassembles an OEM and two fake ones. Several people have had the fake controllers melt or catch fire. Thankfully I was able to return the fake and bought a genuine one from an online Ford dealer. Be careful with what you buy folks!
ОтветитьThanks so much!
ОтветитьIt would be nice to have an updated version of this. The Chinese can and will find a way to fake their way into any updated model.
ОтветитьAC Delco also having major issues with parts being counterfeited. Fake AC Delco Spark plugs are known to melt or break after few weeks. Recently in central Mexico a factory was found making counterfeit Gabriel and AC Delco suspension shocks. Shocks were blowing out within 6 months.
ОтветитьCounterfeit coils probably won't weigh as much as the originals, so the weight on the package - i.e. "0.48 lbs" - won't match the actual weight ... a nice easy way to check.
ОтветитьMan i need to go buy me an electric battery car then.
ОтветитьI was about to get internal parts for the 10R80 transmission and was surprised that counterfeit parts have reached here! Luxkily, the dealership parts salesman identified it from the photos before I placed the order. He said the blue color on the package label wasn't authentic!
Ответитьi feel like the counterfeiters are watching your video and taking notes lol
ОтветитьRealistically does it really matter which one you use?
Ответить
