Gender dysphoria is categorized as a mental illness. So regardless of the commentary, it's still a mental illness as far as the dsm five is concerned. Just had to clear that up.

Just remember the entire idea of “mental” is retarded. It’s just a failing to admit that something organic is idiopathic.

This is a summary of my essay on Medium, about mental health.

The essay "About Healing Mental Disorders" offers a comprehensive and transformative perspective on mental health, advocating for a shift from traditional views of mental disorders as clinical conditions to a broader understanding that incorporates the concept of "mental order." The author suggests that mental health is a universal experience that affects everyone, regardless of whether they have a clinical diagnosis. The essay emphasizes that achieving mental wellness is an ongoing journey that requires proactive efforts, advanced strategies, and a holistic approach.

Key Sections and Insights
1. Rethinking Mental Disorders
The essay begins by challenging the conventional perception of mental disorders, which are often viewed as clinical abnormalities. It argues that these traditional definitions are too narrow, as they fail to recognize the spectrum of mental struggles people face in their daily lives. The author suggests that mental disorders are deeply interconnected with thoughts, habits, and societal norms, making them a universal human experience rather than an isolated condition. By broadening the scope of what constitutes a mental disorder, the essay opens up the possibility for a more inclusive conversation about mental health that recognizes the challenges everyone faces.

2. Thesis and Concept of Mental Order
The central thesis is that mental wellness is intricately linked to achieving "mental order," defined as a state where cognitive, emotional, and psychological processes are aligned with one’s personal values and beliefs. The essay argues that disruptions in this mental order manifest as various forms of mental disorders, ranging from mild stress to severe psychological conditions. To restore this mental order, the author advocates for a holistic approach, integrating personal organization, emotional regulation, and cognitive restructuring.

3. Expanding the Spectrum of Mental Disorders
The essay highlights that mental health issues exist on a spectrum and are dynamic, influenced by various factors such as physical health, environment, and genetics. At one end of the spectrum are mild disturbances like stress and anxiety, which, while not clinically diagnosed, still significantly impact well-being. At the other end are severe and chronic conditions like schizophrenia, which require intensive medical intervention. This broader perspective encourages early intervention and promotes a more empathetic and inclusive understanding of mental health.

4. Holistic Approaches to Mental Order
The essay discusses the importance of a holistic approach in achieving mental order. This involves aligning physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual aspects of well-being. It emphasizes that mental wellness goes beyond conventional therapy or time management techniques, advocating instead for a comprehensive strategy that includes:

Mindful Information Consumption: The essay underscores the impact of the "information diet" on mental health, suggesting that people should be mindful of the information they consume to prevent cognitive overload and maintain mental clarity.
Emotional Regulation: Developing emotional intelligence and the ability to manage emotions constructively is crucial for maintaining balance and stability.
Physical Wellness: Regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and sufficient sleep are emphasized as integral components of a holistic approach, as they influence mental health directly.
Spiritual and Value-Based Alignment: Living in accordance with personal values and spiritual beliefs is presented as a means to achieve mental harmony and resilience.

5. The Role of Technology and AI
The essay explores the role of technology, especially AI, in supporting mental health. It highlights how digital tools and AI-powered applications can assist in achieving mental order by providing productivity aids, virtual therapy, and personalized mental health management. AI’s predictive capabilities and data-driven insights are seen as valuable in early diagnosis and continuous support. However, the essay also cautions about the risks of information overload and excessive screen time, advocating for a balanced approach to technology use.

6. Continuous Improvement and Mental Wellness as a Journey
The essay emphasizes that mental wellness is not a static state but a continuous process of improvement and adaptation. This section encourages adopting a growth mindset, where individuals embrace self-reflection, set mental health goals, and adapt strategies as needed. Techniques like mindfulness, journaling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are highlighted as effective practices for continuous mental improvement.

7. Inclusivity and Diversity in Mental Health
Acknowledging the diverse experiences and challenges people face based on cultural, socioeconomic, and personal factors, the essay advocates for an inclusive and diverse approach to mental health. It suggests that mental health care should be culturally sensitive and adaptable to ensure that all individuals have access to quality care. It also calls for reducing systemic barriers and stigma, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to create an empathetic and supportive environment for everyone.

Practical Techniques and Strategies
The essay provides practical techniques for achieving mental order, including:

Cognitive and Emotional Organization: The author discusses the importance of structuring thoughts and emotions to maintain mental clarity and resilience.
Time Management and Mindfulness: Combining effective time management with mindfulness practices is presented as a way to reduce stress and enhance productivity.
Leveraging Technology: Technology can be a powerful tool for mental wellness when used mindfully, offering solutions for cognitive enhancement, emotional regulation, and stress management.
Conclusion and Call to Action
The essay concludes by recapitulating the key insights, stressing the importance of embracing a holistic and inclusive view of mental health. It highlights that the journey toward mental wellness is both personal and collective, requiring continuous effort, growth, and support. The final call to action invites readers to apply the concepts discussed, promote mental health awareness in their communities, and support others in their pursuit of mental wellness.

In essence, the essay argues that achieving mental health is not merely about treating disorders but cultivating mental order through holistic, adaptive, and inclusive strategies that empower individuals and society as a whole.

There are serious studies by the Antitrust which demonstrate unequivocally that the vast majority of psychiatric drugs actually determine the psychic symptoms they "should" cure, be careful because they are even worse toxic than heroin. To really detox it can take even more than 6 months - 1 year and not a few weeks as they say. This immediately creates a vicious circle of addiction as it is medical practice to experiment, try different types of active ingredients and quickly reduce them. A minimal, solvable or naturally temporary problem given for example by bad habits, drug use (even alcohol or cigarettes) or even a difficult time or simply a high IQ in association with these drugs can transform a healthy person into a seriously ill person in a few days. Just think of those who have developed suicidal tendencies only AFTER dealing with these drugs ... but clearly it is the congenital disease not the toxicity, right? In case of legal doubt, the package insert contains the full disclaimer. Atrocious.

Public awareness about mental is now heightened. more and more people noticed that the growing number of diagnosed mental illness emerged and the impact on society. Public understanding about mental illness also rediated from the sympathetic crowd. it's impossible that psychological ailments appear out of nowhere.
Medical expert said that anxiety and depression are the most common mental ailments in recent years. There are many reasons for rise of incidence of pychologycal illness. One of biggest contributing factors is stress caused by overwork.
the increasingly busy lives with detriment to our well-being is exacting its prices on us and driving us to work harder and longer. we should step back and realize how valuable our own physical and mental health are. the well-being and heath are interwoven.

just wanted to say that, i suffer from pyromaniacism. it all started/got worse when i was 4. i litreally lit a closet on fire and watched it burn. this might sound weird but, it looked beautiful/pretty. luckily tho the fire fighters extingiushed (i think its spelled like that) the fire. when i was 6-10 i would make those lil fire pits on pieces of metal, even in the house.
and when i was 12 i lit my arm on fire. yep, that happened. i still have my arm tho, i only covered my arms in a flamable liquid (dont really remember what it was).

ALSO: im not from any country that speaks english.
A L S O: when i was 3 i would tuurn the gas stove on and watch the fire burn for sometimes even 10-50 minutes straight. i mostly did that when parents were not home.

Your implication that drug use is the root cause of the mental disorder, I feel, is a misrepresentation. In my personal experience, drug use is often a symptom. Most are self-medicating to deal with the root cause disorder treating the addiction without pinpointing what they were self-treating through altered reality. As someone with Bipolar 1, I have belonged to many programs and support groups. One of the most common risks we all take is drug use to self-medicate in a vain attempt to level ourselves out. Most of us have dual addiction to uppers and downers, trying to find that thin line of feeling normal. Treating us for drug addiction without treating the bipolar would be a blueprint for disaster in our lives.

Doesn't OCD fall under the category anxiety disorders? I find it strange that 'trauma & stressor related disorders' are a separate number 8, when a lot of the other disorders on the list develop from issues like childhood trauma.

When people talk about substance abuse it's victim blaming, the disorder came first its called dual diagnosis people are usually looking for a solution to how they feel when they take drugs because health care is too expensive or dismissive, all beacuse of the cost of a pack of pills, they are quite prepared to watch you go away and commit suicide as long as they don't have to lift a finger, then they whine and complain when a spree shooting occurs out of frustration that could have been resolved.
