Crazy to think how long I've been following your journey! Although I never became a software engineer/frontend developer, I took those skills and pivoted into UX/UI Design. It's the inspiration and determination that you exuded in your vlogs that pushed many (like myself) to not settle for less and that you can make it into tech with enough perseverance. That you are your biggest investment. That you gotta continue growing as well! Thank you, Chris.
Ответитьwhat’s the difference between a software engineer and a web developer
Ответить"Anyone can learn how to code". That's just repackaged blank slate theory. Just because no degree is required it doesn't mean anyone can actually learn to code on significant level, especially after actual problem-solving gets involved.
ОтветитьDaaaang bri. I havent clicked on one of your videos in years. Youve gained a ton of wait. Living that good lyfe.
ОтветитьI am 31 tre boys Mam With no any IT back ground. I am afraid if I can make it 😊
Ответитьbro you say BUT a lot. Good video.
ОтветитьI am turning 65 this month. I am starting to learn web development — and couldn’t be more excited about it! No, I won’t be looking to land a job, but rather to build my own projects, etc. I am sorry, but I have to have a little chuckle to myself when I see people asking whether someone in their 30’s, for example, is too old to learn web development. Well, my take is you are never too old to pursue anything you are interested in. Great video!!
Ответитьyou said french twice lol codebrains
ОтветитьAbout to start a bootcamp in July. This video is really refreshing and gets me excited to continue learning. Thanks so much.
Ответитьand web developing
Ответитьi'm 11 and got and internship and scholarship in coding
ОтветитьI really want a career change and although I have a degree in computer science, I never put it to use properly and feel like I need to start over again, my only fear is this, will AI make it redundant?
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic video. It's clear and easy to understand your explanations. Thank you for providing this information.
ОтветитьHi Chris. Would you still recommend team tree house now? Or is there another route you’d recommend for complete beginners that have zero knowledge but want to switch to this field?
ОтветитьWill AI take over coding?
ОтветитьThank you man, very positive and concise message. I really want to go into tech. Good luck in your future endeavors 👍👍
ОтветитьProblem in career as a coder is not learning how to do it. It's finding an entry level job competing among 200-400 applicants that apply for that same position.
ОтветитьI have 0 interest in tech, but at this point I’m out of ideas 😂
ОтветитьWow, I cant even imagine that Ill be one of those... Anyways, It's been a year since Ive watched your 2021 web development roadmap. I used it as a general guide hoping to be a developer by 3-6 months as stated. I thought Im good enough to apply when I learned react but God, I was dead wrong, I struggled and failed a lot on multiple job technical exams. I never gave up and so I studied for additional 4 months.
I can now finally say after a long 10-month journey of hardships, struggles and frustration that I'm 2 months in as a full-time front-end developer. Even if I didnt hit my timeline, Im still proud of everyrhing ive overcome. The doubts, anxieties, depressive state. So I wanted to say thank you for giving me that direction and push in the beginning!
Stay strong my dude and for anyone who read this far, Always remember:
Grit > Talent
am a cs student in college,am confused about my passion in tech ..... website,oop,Ai,.....aftr prayers, what is the best and fastest way to discover myself?
ОтветитьMfan Waka man!!!
ОтветитьTrue
ОтветитьActually I'm glad you said that one point. I don't have to love coding like some of those other guys to become a developer... I like to learn and design but coding doesn't come easy to me. Desifn does. But thanks for that point
ОтветитьI'm 31 old and I'm going to start learning wed development. Lot of them laugh at me because I'm a mother. So thank you for this your valuable video and inspiration ❤️❤️
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьThis might be off topic but how did you know you want to major in computer science and wanted to be a software developer. I’m currently in high school and trying to make the decision on whether to major in computer science. What advice would you give on if comp sci is right for you. Thanks!
ОтветитьHello I m new to the programming world 😅 . And I really loved your videos. Things are clear now. But I m confused about something. Some videos I watched they said that the 1 st thing or language to learn is python so I was thinking to do html. Css. Then python then jvs. Is this correct???? Please 🙏 help because I m confused and thank you
ОтветитьHey bro! Been coding since last year October and I just landed my first job as a junior software engineer. It’s been crazy and I’ve been working like an animal but it’s been so worth it. Thanks for continuing to inspire people. Keep up the great content bro!
ОтветитьCan be a web developer watching online tutorials? Please tell me..
ОтветитьBro thanks for keeping it real...been getting discouraged with whats currently happening...but you inspired me...thanks
ОтветитьHello Chris. Very helpful video. What projects would you advise I add to my portfolio to earn a junior web developer role in FAANG, Uber or the likes? It would really be helpful. Thanks in advance
Ответитьhello, I am currently learning HTML, CSS and will learn Javascript than Typescript. I am currently at 34 yrs age with this age If I can Prove my learning can I get a developer job, Pls guide how to approach jobs and particular skills to master will be very helpful.
ОтветитьThank you Chirs, I was on a verge of quitting to code bc JS is so hard. Needed to hear this.
ОтветитьGreat advice as always. Quick question as someone who can’t stay focused/easily distracted. Would you recommend schooling as suppose to self taught??
ОтветитьI am already in a software engineering program and i got a new opportunity to study a web development 😮 now i am kinda of confused which one i must focus on
ОтветитьOne of the very few people that tells you the reality of this space / including life as well! This passion thing have had and well ruine more careers/dreams of many peps. So many folk gave up on this because they don't hold "passion"for this but they're in it for the 💵. From here im telling you and chris himself told you himself as well < you'll have a hard time distinguishing among passion and doing / continue the work/learn to survive. but even more complex choice is to know if this fits you...
Ответить😂 the opening line to the sponsor was a killer 😂😂
ОтветитьAs a young boy who lives ghana with no degree, i started a complete web dev bootcamp last month. Finished html last night. starting java script this today. ill keep going until i become successful. Its indeed a hard road but it changed your life like you said. Thank you for insipiring me.
ОтветитьHere’s an idea. When you made the ad, you could have made a skit about it. It could have increased the video duration and made it more interesting. Also it could have increased the sales
ОтветитьGlad to see you, Chris! Have a nice day, great video
ОтветитьYou are my motivation. Your videos are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing and being honest
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьBro you always answered my fucking questions and what ifs. Keep making video like this bro it helps a lot. This "passion" thing is making me quit to programming because i dont like doin it and i heard that people making a lot of money on this feild so now im here but problem is almost a year now since i decided to go with the path of wev dev and still stuck on introduction of html, css, javascript. I feel like this thing is not meant to me because im not happy doin it im just here bcos of money lol but i have a goal more than just being employee i wanna build something related to TECH industry..... But now your video pops out and I realized a lot. Im not gonna quit because this is not my passion, im doin it anyway no matter what. Btw, im 2nd year college student BSIT. I chose this shit , i chose to stress to struggle haha. but i have a choice to chillax but i dont. Im scared of 9-5.
ОтветитьBrooooo you’re inspiring people, keep going 🎉🎉
Ответитьchris why you witch to data engineer ?? but still recommend web development?
ОтветитьHi, I hope that your last advice will help me, cause I was always stopped by those phrases about degrees etc, since I have no degree at all, and immigrated from Russia to Poland 6-7 years ago. Also, you helped me realize some things, that I don’t need to do things that others do to maintain good relationships with them. I was always struggling to find friends here in a new country and always was different, but now I feel like I understand myself more after watching you :) Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьPlease don't stop making these videos 🥺🥺❤️❤️🥺🥺. You don't know how much these videos inspire me🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️🥺🥺🥺.
ОтветитьWhat are thoughts on mobile development going into the new year and beyond?
