Cowboy Junkies are one of the best bands in this kind of music. I discovered them there by 1989 with ' sweet jane ' , Margo Timmins is definitly a great singer and song writer...

We've seen them dozens of times & usually spend time with Margo after. Look how young she was here; what wonderful talented family they are

This is an amazing version. I usually listen to this song when I’m blue, or about to go to sleep. This and Elvis 1956 version usually goes back to back.

Discovered this a few weeks ago on tv on covers of elvis songs he recorded. Blew me away. Can't stop playing it. Checking out cowboy junkies as well-amazing.

These guys are so under-rated and to take a classic song and make if even better is testament to their class. Love them.

Saw the Junkies play in a mid-size theater in the summer of 1992. Wonderful performance and sound. The highlight for me was their cover of folksong writer David Wiffen’s “Driving Wheel.” (They released a studio version later that year as a B-side and on a multi-artist compilation album.)

Guys, was this particular recording ever published offline? I have both 1988 Trinity Session and 2007 Trinity Revisited, but I like this performance much better.
