It’s crazy that we went from the P-51C to the F-16 in like 35 years.

What makes me think this is more doable than you'd think is that the a10 is actually kinda sluggish and mainly meant for ground attack, and therefore would be harder to use against a fighter. Props to the rocket tactic though!
