And remember kids, don't put China on your guns!
ОтветитьI am still waiting for a company to FINALLY realize an ORANGE dot would be IDEAL & I still don't understand WHY no company has come out with an "ORANGE" dot ! Maybe I am missing something on a scientific level or something else that is causing companies from releasing an Orange dot . Hey great video & TY !
ОтветитьSo what would be my best option with a stigmatism
ОтветитьOne nice thing about aperture style "iron sights." No matter if you are severely near sighted or have bad astigmatism, you will see clearly through a small round aperture sight due to the "pin hole effect." I believe this was one of the reasons the military adopted this style sight over the traditional three post iron sights used previously; if an infantryman lost his glasses, he could still see clearly through his rifle's sights. Note that the smaller the aperture, the greater the "pin hole effect;" if your flip up sight has a large or small round aperture, the smaller aperture will look the most clear if you are looking through it without your corrective lenses.
ОтветитьHolosun makes a great holographic sight
ОтветитьSig msr.2night vision,various brightness,you cant miss with co witness.8brightness choices.all you need,waterproof,rugged,easy to use.l told another commenter,when they asked for a good red dot,told them try sig msr.she said she loves it. I paid 90 bucks,on a special deal.they are probably around 125 now,thanks to mushbrain,biden.
ОтветитьThat was excellent sir! Clear, fluid narrative and detailed to the terminal objectives. Thank you
ОтветитьBRS! This guy just has a habit of getting me into expensive hobbies!
ОтветитьWell done! Yes, irons are still important. Never had a battery die on irons. :D Yes, the larger the opening the better on dots. It's a hard balance, size vs weight.
I am a recently new fan of dots. I've avoided them for decades. So I decided to try a few different modern thingies on a new AR build, converted to piston. In order I purchased a Leupold Freedom RDS, Meprolight M21, Sig I can't remember it was small and I traded it, Th0r thermal, ATN NV scope, Another Th0r for a buddy who recommended the C-More Rail. I loved the Rail so much I bought him one too for recommending it. The thermal went on my go to Mini14, the M21 on the 590, the Rail on the Windham AR. I may stick the Leupold on the Bulgarian. Not that it needs it.
The next one will be the newish Holosun with the NV.
The irons I settled on are a modified SI Sidewinder, JB Welded at vertical so they flip straight up off to the side with a washer attached to the rear sight to help it show a bit more. Due to age left eye is now dominant but I shoot right hand.
I'm late to the party but this I have a question that I can't seem to get a 100% hit on an an answer. I bought a Cmmg 16" with a 1:7 for my 40th birthday yesterday. I asked the very knowledgeable man I need an optic a it was just a flat piccany rail all along the top. The ONLY purpose of this rifle is for close quarter defense of my rather small house but its MY house I just recently got the credit to get it and I have a retired service dog that has saved my life and is my early warning alarm to protect. Anyway, the guy named Josh, very cool guy from bass pro shop, suggested a StrikeFire2 and he mounted it with a riser which I now know is great for acquisition and zerod with a bore laser at 100 yards. I do not hunt, maybe someday but i'm never going to get into a 100 yard defensive situation. The fact when I am its not gonna be the point of impact with the red or green dot I'm wondering to all those that unfortunately had to go into a hostile building and clear it or had to defend all they hold dear from someone that wants to take it away and snuff out their candle what type of optic should I be looking at? Should I return the strikefire2 or can i make it work with Kentucky ballistics. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated. I plan to put back up iron sites too so don't' be too harsh on me. Heck, I hope someone actually sees this request for help. God bless. HOOAH!
ОтветитьIt’s so sexy ! I love my EOTech so much! I don’t have night vision but I still love it I got the none night version one . I’d suggest for anyone it’s bomb proof! N true 1 MOA! 🤙🇺🇸💪
ОтветитьACOG always. Retired Rangers lead the way!
ОтветитьIm working on a new build after not really messing with new tech for a while. I wad really annoyed Diamondhead stopped selling to civ markets because they had a diamond shaped dioptic set of buis. For my eyes it really helped with a consistent sight picture comparied to an A2 front sight hood and round aperture. Looks like troy makes a rear sight with a diamond aperture, but not a a diamond front sight hood.
ОтветитьI tried a Magnifier and red dot set up in store. The Magnifier seem to cut off the top half of the glass on the red dot. Is that because it wasn’t centered?
ОтветитьSigSauer Romeo5 anyone??
ОтветитьI like 😢 I scrd as am being pnk be by gogl and mcrsft which explains werd spelling if that didn't explmlook agin u r on utbe sponsor by googl
ОтветитьTo this SITES ORGANIZATION .. WOULD YOU PLEASE CEASE USING AR. , ITS M . FOR MODEL 15 NOT AR . IF I WAS A SHAREHOLDER OF ARMALITE, I WOULD HAVE ALREADY MADE A DECISION TO SUE THOSE WHO USE THE TERM AR. THE PROBLEM IS. AR STANDS FOR ARMALITE RIFLE.,, NOT AUTOMATIC RIFLE!!!!! THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR AR ARE ANTI GUN ADVOCATES WHO ONLY WANT TO SCARE PEOPLE
ОтветитьThe cuticles doe
ОтветитьGreat video! My favorite set up is the holographic with the magnifier when needed. I really like the 1 moa dot (and no starburst from my astigmatism). The only thing keeping it from being perfect for me is no shake awake option for the holographics. I know some are gonna say you dont need it...learn to hit the button...etc. but I love it on the red dots.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI gotta say a red dot with a flip to the side magnifier. I was able to buy cheaper optics because my recoil absorption is top notch
ОтветитьI cant say enough good things about this guy and his ability to pack so much useful information with simple language and easy to grasp concepts into evey video. Absolutely amazing!!🎉🎉
ОтветитьIs it true that a holographic will not change its point of impact representation when you move your head? I’ve seen people say that a holographic is better than a red dot because there’s no shift in the point of impact representation/red dot. I can see a little bit of wiggle in the hologram. And I can see much more wiggle in the red dot. So I’m thinking it’s still there, just less shifting in a hologram.
My two cents is that sometimes strict CAN BE a benefit, in that it’s making sure that you are not at an odd angle, and making your red dot location imprecise.
There’s also a place for everything.
Holographic is amazing by trijicon. 3X next to it is a must. Or iron backup/co-witness. But you have to have good eye box on it. Don’t get the compact one just because it’s smaller. It has a shit eye box.
Holosun AEMS with and without a red dot has a place. Holosun maybe Chinese but they make good red dots.
LPVOs are absolutely amazing. Probably the best if you’re only getting one piece of glass. Primary Arms probably has the best value to the dollar.
Acog is also amazing. Absolutely battle proven. Necessary to put a red dot on top. Then you could do canted iron sight.
Pretty much can’t go wrong with a 3X magnifier on a Trijicon Holographic, a 1-6 LPVO, a 3x with red dot, or a ACOG. Almost no wrong answer. So get every single one of them and be in poverty hehe.
If I only had $330 I would go Primary Arms 1-6 nova. And you would get some of the best technology and optics that modern weapons has to offer. If you had a little under ~2000 you could get an awesome ACOG with an RMR on top. ~1400 and you can have the Trijicon holographic with a 3X. 400+ a $300 Magnifier and you can get a good holosun setup with AEMS. And then, if you have good amounts of money, then you can get all kinds of good options in glass. I would love to be able to reach out to like 15 X and 30 X. I don’t have any experience with anything beyond 1 to 10 unfortunately. Hopefully eventually though. Shoot some 308 as far as it’ll go. That would be fun.
Dude is just hitting puberty with that voice cracking 😂
ОтветитьGreat video. For my fellow airsofters out there who want real steel optics on there airsoft guns here’s my experience.LPVOs are extremely over hyped and typically suck or break and when you spend 500-1500 bucks on a sight for airsoft, having it break to a BB sucks, trust me, I know from experience. Red dots are relatively overrated especially people who stick Trijicon SROs or RMRs on their rifles (Ak guys I’m looking at you.) but in the grand scheme of things aim points and trijicon MROs are where it’s at. For flip zoom optics like the EOtech G33s or others like it, I recommend not wasting you 600 bucks on something that has no difference when on a gun that has less recoil than subsonic 22 short, get the replica EOtech G33 and call it a day. For Holographics the EOtech HWS EXPS2 is the best optic out there, no need for NVG bs, and they even work great in CQB which surprised me and the people around me watching me shove a $670 optic on a 600 dollar airsoft gun. Don’t even bother with sniper scopes, they barely work for airsoft and look stupid, trust me your $800 Leopold 24x optic does not look cool on your M4. Keep in mind this is all tips for airsoft guns, not real guns, on real guns there is no bad high quality sight, it’s just the situation that you need it for.
ОтветитьThe optics talk is cool and all, I mean, thanks for that…..I was wondering tho….can you point me in the right direction for a good start up salt water rig? For Atlantic fish, maybe no bigger than a couple ounces a couple inches each? Someone told me you re the guy…..
ОтветитьReef tanks and guns. If you end up hosting a scuba and/or skydiving channel, we're going to end up being BFFs.
ОтветитьLove the series. Great for new shooters
ОтветитьExcellent and very thorough presentation!!
ОтветитьHow do you talk about red dots and NOT mention AIMPOINT!!
ОтветитьTook me over a year to go from one eye to both open. Started with shotguns then rifles then handguns. I actually started shooting better especially with shotguns.
Ответитьwait a sec werent you on brs?
ОтветитьHow effective is the solar panel? Time to charge from empty to full.
ОтветитьAwesome video, dude! I just got an AR15 and have been fretting hard for an optic for it. Thanks for the in-depth look into optics.
ОтветитьPhilippines AFP be like: What is this movie? Fictional thing? we cant have that? is this real? I saw this on CODM? bro stop playing videogames and take this M16A1.
Ответитьpeople were raised differently when it comes to closing your off eye. i was always taught in my 4-h bb gun and precision 10m air rifle that you keep it open. and that transitioned to everything i shoot today. off eye open.
ОтветитьSwampfox optics has the best prism lpvo’s and fixed prism reticle at an unbelievable price. Veteran owned as well
ОтветитьYeah I liked the iron sights we had in the Marines . You could just make adjustments for wind and elevation so easily
I do love that Trijicon ACOG , I want to build a new AR with one . Trijicon is a bit out of the budget 😂😂
That was a much better video than I had anticipated.
ОтветитьCould you share a few of your astigmatism sight picks?
ОтветитьI'm more gunnin and funnin
ОтветитьIron sites easy on the eyes and simple. Red dots are fun but not the best when jumping light to dark it’s your eyes . Scope yeah I love a 1x6
Ответитьif you know this guy from bulk reef supply and now you're watching this chances are 100% you're bank account is 0
ОтветитьWhere is the Lasers, very underrated type of personal Defense.
