The lyrics are very poetic and have a lot of meaning to it but, one has to have a good understanding of Tamil to understand the lyrics. The English translation is not very good. There is some double meaning to the song but, even the double meaning is not vulgar but, it alludes to physical intimacy. The way Yesudas has sung it is a song that I have replayed quite a few times because it has been sung so well.
