Thank you very much for all your saving tip videos. Robin from Denmark.
ОтветитьYou can make pancakes from oats- make thel flour from pulsing them. Then you can pureed banana in the batter. You can make mixed berry/fruit topping instead of maple syrup if needed.
ОтветитьJelly sweetens oatmeal very well if you have that and don't have brown sugar. Once, I made my own apple cinnamon oatmeal from my homemade apple jelly and some ground cinnamon.
ОтветитьUsing vegtable oil is bad for your arteries. Use Olive oil instead.
Ответить5lbs of flour for $2??, wow there is no way you will have that in Canada, the food here is way more expensive than the US, unfortunately.
Ответитьif your problem is yeast, make a "levain"!, you just need flour and water to it! and you can make your bread!
Ответитьveg oil...no thx......i cant believe....
ОтветитьThank goodness for oats! Cheap, nutritional and even diabetic friendly.
ОтветитьThey youshaly have sauce for a dollar
ОтветитьI used to work for pick n save. Boxes of eggs, around 5dozen are about $5.98.
ОтветитьOur local Farmers Market also issues checks to be used here that come from the state. Senior citizens and recipients can buy fresh produce with these checks. It’s really nice.
ОтветитьHi. I'm new to your channel. You mentioned making stuffed pepper with the chorizo. I have that same chorizo in my fridge now. My husband and I are on a fixed income now. So needless to say, watching every penny is important. I've never made stuffed bell peppers. Would you, please, share your recipe. Thank you.
ОтветитьYou don't seem to use a lot of cheese, I noticed.
ОтветитьCountry potatoes with onions and bell peppers are perfect
Ответить50 pounds of rice at grocery outlet is 3.47 comes to 7 cents a pound yea yea yea
ОтветитьAmerica is so cheap
ОтветитьYou can make salsa yourself. So much better.
- tomatoes
- pepper
-cinatro
-seasoning
As a chef, I can say $25 a week for 2 adults and 2 small kids isn't hard, but youre going to be eating a lot of the same stuff. Its a lot of rice, pasta, canned/ frozen vegetables, tortillas, pasta sauce, tuna, and possibly chicken since its the cheapest meat. It definitely wont be the healthiest eating plan but you'll be fed
ОтветитьWoah!! What is going on with the music blaring in that place? 😮
ОтветитьThat chorizo is made primarily of pork salivary glands....raw not for me thanks. 🤮
ОтветитьSadly almost everything u bought is not healthy at all. No organic produce or meat or dairy. Just not good
ОтветитьKeep your baki g powder and yeast in the freezer and it will stay active a lot longer.
Ответитьthese are impossible, it cost 10x this much to feed a patient in a hospital or even a inmate.......so what are you really eating???
ОтветитьWe are a military family, and one with disabilities. Both of my kids have different feeding disorders. I have to shop from 14-22 days, for 2 main trips a month. I include household and cat items and coupon as much as i can. Our bill has gone up to around $1100-1400 a month. Aldi is not cheaper anymore. I almost never go to Bakers/kroger anymore. I buy some bulk at Sams and I froze some items from my garden. Everything is ridiculous right now and we dont have the option of not buying certain packaged foods because 1 of my kids has arfid and the other is autistic.
ОтветитьI love your videos so much I’m back in college ans I have a teenage son, hubby and my daughter who has Down’s syndrome and food can be crazy, although the prices are 3-4 times higher for the food in Toronto it does really help. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is a very helpful video, thank you SO much Christine! I bought an 18 pack of eggs at Walmart in 🇨🇦 a couple of weeks ago, paying $6.48! Even at your expensive store, you got bargains!!
ОтветитьThese days groceries are so expensive now..
ОтветитьLove this video! I am currently, and have been for several months, out of work due to disability of a broken leg (5 broken bones, required 2 surgeries and such) I am responsible for budgeting the groceries for myself and another adult, and it’s not easy! There are a handful of grocery stores within easy reach, but there aren’t any discount food stores. There aren’t really any clearance food sections either. The bakery will have maybe a handful of items that expire that day or the day prior, but we don’t have money in the budget for the sweets. Watching your videos really gives me hope that I can do this month after month
Ответить1 yr late but you can make pancakes without eggs or milk. I make a vegan DIY dry pancake mix and then I add in a cup of soy milk mixed with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Works a treat tbh.
ОтветитьThis whole thing is misleading, she admitted right up front $100 isn’t realistic. she used to do $100 mo EXCEPT she had WIC, a substantial amount, the title is misleading. Also I would cut out stir fry mix, salsa, one oatmeal, chorizo and added another family pack of breasts. Much more protein to add to peppers, pasta etc. Also trim and save chicken fat to use for stir fry rice, potatoes and other cooking.
ОтветитьLet's get to the root of the problem. Our money system is broken due to the Federal Reserve and poor policy. Abolish the Fed so our country's currency can heal and we can build up the middle class again
ОтветитьLol 😂 the wads
ОтветитьKim Wadsworth ❤
ОтветитьSuch a nice material and... You went to the wrong store. Too bad.
ОтветитьThank you for recommending WIC, this is how I survived when my kids were little
ОтветитьI think kids today should have home economics class as a necessary class in order to graduate school not just a elective. I remember the Roseanne episode where she took Darlene class during "job day" to the local grocery store to teach the kids what a home worker does for a living. That idea could be useful for a home economics class.
Ответитьstarch sugar gluten inflammation nation. If this is all you are eating so sorry.
ОтветитьFor healthy breakfast eggs and fruit. You don't need flour or the other sugar stuff. You don't need all that bread. Dinner can be meat and vegetables. Simple. Fruit for desert. You don't have to do all that work and you'll be healthier and thinner with less carbs. Occasional sandwich with tuna salad...Easy.
ОтветитьImpossible in Canada! I can’t believe how cheap your groceries are! Wow! Envious!
ОтветитьIf you are really struggling ask coworkers who may have a Costco or Sam's club membership. They may be willing to buy the yeast for you if you give them the money.
ОтветитьThis is your expensive store? God I knew my state has become insane but this is eye opening
ОтветитьI wonder if it would've been cheaper to have made your own salsa?
ОтветитьI love that you do this. It reminds me of what I bought when I first moved out, had no money, and had no knowledge about food. This is great for people whose choice is to starve or eat, but I really wish people would learn just how bad all of this cheap quality food is for you. The knowledge is out there. Check out Flav city, Tom bilyue, and Dr. Berg. So much info on how these foods are causing chronic illness and mental health issues. The fda allows us to be poisoned with our food... all for money.
ОтветитьThis inflation is hurting us all. We have to make budget meals to feed our family gd job
ОтветитьAwesome advice. Especially with how all the prices are extremely high right now.
ОтветитьI'm doing $100 per week. As my budget.
ОтветитьI love these ideas!!
I have a ton of different pasta in the house and freezers full of meat.
I'm starting a summer fall garden!
So it's like I have to buy eggs milk and yeast etc.
Make your own sauces much chaper ,
ОтветитьYour getting some decent deal there. I shopped a Kroger store yesterday. The only" eggs they had were 7.99!! for 2 doz. pack, not even the cage free... kind, YIKES!!! Chicken legs were 2.79 lb and thighs at 1.79 lb. I believe the breast were 4.99. A few months ago I bought can salsa for .99 now it's 1.69. A loaf of cheap bread and peanut butter costs over $5. Wish I had my own property for a few chickens & garden.
ОтветитьAs a military family and I am a stay at home mother we did WIC when my kids were 5 and under. They do fruits and veggies now. There were sometimes when all we had was WIC food in the house. You have to be creative but it was a lifesaver.
