- I was told the reason a real Wendigo wouldn't have antlers is because its like an avatar of dessecation and poor health. Antlers are amazing and grow super fast and you can tell a lot about a an animals health looking at them and it is basically a beautiful feature that doesn't fit with the theme they are all about.

A really good movie called ravenous is about this. Its based back during the revolutionary war around that time period, and well as you can guess there is a cannibal in there. Good movie to all who are watching this and reading this comment.

That’s interesting, in Brazil we’ve got a similar tale, the “corpo seco” (dried corpse). It’s basically about a man so evil that not even the devil wanted him after his death, and even the land where he was buried rejected him and spit him out, so he was doomed to remain on earth as a wandering corpse. Usually it’s said that the unforgivable sin said man committed was killing his mother. The physical description and behavior is basically the same and they usually scream horribly, that’s why they’re also called “bradador” which can be roughly translated as “screamer”

I disagree. Jared Leto doesnt need to wuit acting. He needs to quit doing everything. Acting, singing, modeling, that weird little cult of his...yeah, all of that can stop.

Then I guess I would be a wendigo, because faced with either starving to death or eating another human to survive. Without mercy or hesitation, I would certainly eat another human. However I'm also aware that eating the skin of another human can cause an illness. That's why I'd treat them as another animal, and skin and prepare them to be cooked properly before consumption.

Personally i think a wendigo is what is seen in the Lycanites mobs Mod for minecraft.

When it comes to the antlers i think its because usually antlers portrayed are of specifically prey deer, so the amalgamation of a predator with prey features unsettled us. Or it because it's kinda cooler versus the emaciated husk of a human for movie purposes.
