I am so sorry, but this wasn't a cha cha really. The performance was fun but whenever he did the cha cha parts it was very stiff, placed and stompy. But 90% of the performance wasn't cha cha!

Dreadful, disappointed. Poitless.. Just way too CAMP

Was this Guy trying to catch flies? Mouth permanently open is not a good look. Dancing a bit stilted. Feel a bit sorry for Giovanni.

Would have loved to see more cha cha elements. Felt like Giovanni was too uncomfortable to be in hold - still a really fun number though!

Saturday night prime TV has become an absolute joke. 'Hysterical audiences' reacting in a frenzy watching 2 blokes dancing like a couple of drunken mates having a laugh in any pub or club in any city. The audience, contestants and the public are being 'groomed' into believing this show is 'Chic'....... It's actually run its course and is now embarrassing!

Watching this just makes me feel like certain straight male pros CANT partner a gay man. I would have rather seen him with Kai or JoJo, they would have been better at coaching Richie, Gio seems like he’s phoning it in. Still rooting for them tho!

4. He didn't do much. Lots of room for improvement.

I was disappointed to be honest, because I expected to see a much stronger performance technically, especially knowing that Giovanni knows how to work with his partners on the fundamentals of the dance. The routine was very catchy as a performance but at the same time it was noticeably weak as a cha cha cha. Richie was very stiff, his hips didn't move at all, he danced with both of his legs bent throughout the whole routine, and that's what didn't enable him to produce the much-needed hip action. His steps were too wide and not compact enough, there was too much messing about (I would have like to see several more actual cha cha steps), and, as I've said there was not even a trace of technicality, not even a try to show at least some understanding of the principals of the cha cha cha. Hope to see a lot of t's during their next dance - technique, technique, technique. My score: a 4.

For me, the issue here was with the content - too much faffing and not enough Cha Cha. Richie came across as just being so excited for this and I saw a couple of timing issues as a result. Now that he has got the first routine out of the way, I hope that he will calm down and also that Gio will choreograph routines with more choreo in hold, as opposed to side by side. I've a feeling that Richie could be great with ballroom....

this was ok and decent dancing but i really want to see them do a more intimate dance and not shy away from doing more partner work, this felt a little bit disconnected cause they were basically just doing it side by side and there was no connection. giovannis been saying for a few years that he wants a male partner so i really thought he was gonna go all in from the get go, like he does with his female partners, but this felt like he was really holding back with the choreography. if you watch the cha chas hes done previously, this doesnt compare imo. also those outfits are probably the most disappointing cha cha outfits ever on strictly, theyre so plain, where are the frills or the feathers or the sequins.

Richie should leave first. Awful. Only on here because hes bbc and they are scraping barrell now

I was surprised Giovanni got partnered with Richie I thought he was going to partner Kim Marsh and Kai was going to partner Richie they always seem to partner Gio with somebody you know is going to be good right from the start so I'm kinda glad he's got his work cut out with Richie

Oh Richie was feeling his oates throughout the entire routine HUNNY. I was skeptical about Richie being partnered with Gio but I forgot that Gio danced with QUEEN VISAGE and this performance was giving GIO as trade hunk and I was HERE. FOR. IT!! With that being said, the content and execution needed a bit more fluiditiy in all aspects but the performance was decent. I liked it lol!

He’s not exactly a good dancer but that was adorable!!

I like that the couple consists of one gay man and one straight man, it certainly breaks stereotypical cliché of John and Johannes from last year, not that they were bad together

A satisfactory dance which I enjoyed watching, but being in a same-sex couple, I know he's got an instant fast pass to the final.

Giovanni looks like he’s having lots of fun on the floor, he didn’t stop grinning and letting Richie shine as he was loving the experience

Giovanni has been very clever with the choreography for Richie and they do have a very good partnership together. Also for a week 1 Cha Cha Cha starting by himself was amazing

Think is we all still obsessed with gio n rose !!!!
