Thanks so much for sharing! This was exactly what I was looking for. I used to use Wordpress and Semplice to design my website, but I’m looking to switch platforms. Now I’m considering between readymag and Webflow as my options. You rock! 🎉
ОтветитьI really like Canva, and I really hate Wix. I don't think they're anything alike. Wix is not as intuitive as one would think (being a website builder and all), but I found it extremely frustrating to navigate and conflicting. Their 14-day refund policy is not long enough to get through the giant learning curve of their website builder so anyone looking at Wix, proceed with caution.
ОтветитьIf you know bare minimum coding squarespace is amazing. Atleast for me. Its so easy to throw in what i need. Anything i dont understand theres about 10000 videos telling me how lol.
ОтветитьI love the dedication and unfiltered opinions you put out in this video. I really appreciate it so much as a Ux designer 💕🫂🎉.
ОтветитьBro didn't include WordPress
ОтветитьGreat content thank you. As an absolute noob I think Wix is where I will start and learn SEO
ОтветитьHi Sophie. I appreciate your review of the different sites. As I am building a new site for my photography work (nature, wildlife, and fine art) an overview of some of the site development options was very helpful and appreciated. There was one site you did not cover and that is Pixpa. Have you had any experience with them or advice about them you might share. Thanks.
ОтветитьWould be funny if your video was actually sponsored by Squarespace :D Really nice video. You got my follow
ОтветитьFor me to be honest, nothing is better than Adobe Commerce (Magento2) it's powerful, fast, beautiful design templates ad the best in security and ecommerce! it will cost at the beginning and then less pay for support or maintenance! you can hire someone and then pay him yearly support but not as much as those CMS websites 50-100$ a year is enough but not monthly!
ОтветитьYou never mentioned wordpress .. is it not worth it at all ?
ОтветитьQuality Upload!
Ответитьare there any spaces where you don't need to pay a monthly fee? im trying to create a keychain/charm business and each month it requires me to pay like 30 dollars 😭
ОтветитьSo I have been searching for weeks trying to find the best website builder and thanks to you, I realize that webflow is the best option for me. I have been learning to build websites for 4 years now and I really love learning how to code and adding my own style as well. Thank you for your honest opinion about all of these website builders! I appreciate it, and I just subscribed to your channel to learn more insightful knowledge on web design!
ОтветитьThanks a lot 🙏
ОтветитьBut Squarespace grid alignment feature ensures your elements are properly aligned relative to other elements. The clean and professional look of Squarespace for me is preferable.
ОтветитьLoved this clip. It has got me motivated. I have a couple of different holistic services to feature on my website but I cannot tell from the builders what one suits me overall. I am new to this and was about to use Squarespace but now I'm wondering if I should use shopify. Does Squarespace leave a scope for me to build an email list, allow people to buy things , schedule sessions? or is shopify best?
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video♥️🌸. This is what I was looking for honestly 😅. I wanted someone with a lot of experience to give a very honest review of most websites builders. And you mentioned a couple of websites that are not mentioned a lot. I can’t wait to use readymag and webflow 👏😆♥️.
ОтветитьYour video has been very comprehensive with graphic of pros and cons per builder. Thank you for this!
ОтветитьDamn I'm using square space right now and I am so mad that it isn't as customizable as I want it to be
ОтветитьI sent you an email can you help me make a good and profinal site
ОтветитьMy memories of wix is
I hate wix with a burning passion 😂
The interactive bits and trying to decorate and make it look good is so aggravatingly limited and painful to me
Really good, thoughtful video. Thank you for creating it. No mention of Wordpress? (Also, why you telling us about business websites while you're in your PJs in front of an unmade bed? A little odd.)
ОтветитьI’m still struggling on choosing Cargo or Readymag to build my new graphic design portfolio. Which one would you recommend?
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьYou bet, bro! I'm thrilled to have brightened your day! And you're absolutely right, Taplink is the real deal when it comes to mobile-first experiences. It's mind-boggling how simple it is to create a website directly from your mobile using their platform. I have to hand it to them – starting as a link-in-bio tool and evolving into a full-fledged website builder in just three years is nothing short of amazing. They're on fire, and it's commendable!
ОтветитьIs there any FREE Portfolio Hosting platform other than Behance and Dribble for designers?
Ответить@SophieCheung What do you think of Framer?
Ответитьamazing dear Sophie, one question; do you know any way to make a readymag site have an authentication system? like with a third party widget or something? if not, what would you recommend? thanks!!!
ОтветитьDespite what you said, I decided to use square space. With everything you said, it seems like the best option for me.I was going to choose godaddy, but it is very limiting.I need something beginner friendly and simple though, plus I’m a stay at home homeschooling mom, and I need something that is more simple for my non tech savvy self lol
ОтветитьI appreciate this video so much! I'm on my ReadyMag journey now and think its amazing what you can do with that platform! all the best!
ОтветитьSophie, thank you for using a normal voice and not a fry voice ... I love you because finally I could finally listen to a video on this topic without having my nerves crushed by those female voices suddenly vibrating and going ununderstandably low
ОтветитьThank you so much! I appreciate the detailed explanation of all the different options. I am really just looking for something for a portfolio and I already use adobe so adobe portfolio sounds great for me as a free option! Appreciate you saving me some money on this one!
ОтветитьThe amount of ignorance in this video is astounding. You 100% can put squarespace elements wherever you want using the fluid designer. And the moment you said you like wix better than ss you lost it. There is no serious business out there using wix. Embarrassing honestly
ОтветитьGreat breakdown
ОтветитьHi Sophie. I enjoyed your video. Lots of options out there. What is your take on WordPress? Also, the first thing that I do when I wake up is make my bed. How about you? When do you make your bed?
ОтветитьAs for an e-commerce website Webflow payment is limited. Webflow only offers Paypal or stripe -that is it! Webflow has been around a long time and enough budget to invest into more payment selections. As for Squarespace does not have the ease to customize their templates is missed leading. Squarespace has fluid or SquaresKick that allows you to customize their templates without a hitch. When it comes to ease of having a fully control design of your website it’s Wix. The cool thing with Wix they have a non stop development teams with an ongoing updates for their platform. And Wix is always adding new features -compared to other builders. And absolutely not is Wix complicated or tedious to design a website -it’s the opposite. And support is important not mention in this video. Wix is the only website builder that takes phone support. Not long ago, Squarespace dropped their phone support, email or chat is it. Fact, I waited for an hour during my chat to get a Squarespace representative. And when I finally got a hold of Squarespace representatives the communication was not inline, took for ever to understand what my needs were. General or e-commerce website, Wix is what I highly recommend.
Ответитьhi thx for your effort . what do you think about zyro
Ответитьthank you so so much for this video! incredibly useful! ❤️
ОтветитьThis is the video I was looking for, I'm currently planning to design my own personal website design for my portfolio as a designer and I was wondering which platform I should choose, so thank you! It was an excellent explanation, nice and fun to watch 🥰.
ОтветитьOne big con I would like to add for most of these is their lack of iPad support :(
ОтветитьHello! This video was very helpful and my main reference from everything I’ve seen while looking for the right web builder for me.
I’m an architect and I want to create a website as my portfolio but that later can work as my business platform.
I’m more inclined to use WebFlow, seeing your enthusiasm with it! but I’m not sure if in my case, I need to bet on easy and quick (squarespace) or rather on full capabilities and learn WordPress
What would you suggest me? Thank you a lot for your time, both creating this video and reading the comments 😊
Thank you! Was not aware of these other options beyond Wix/Squarespace.
ОтветитьThank you! It was helpful!
ОтветитьI have one question I bought a domain on Wix n now I found Wix is not write for my business development
Can I Use the same domain on other platforms?
What about Godday?
ОтветитьHow is the customer service for Wix
