Why the Sith Lord who Invented the Double-Bladed lightsaber puts Modern Sith to SHAME

I would say that Kun and Sidious are equals….because Sidious ultimately fucked up and destroyed the Sith for good….the order that led to Sidious would not exist without Exar Kun….besides, Exar Kun would annihilate Darth Sidious in a lightsaber duel.

Dark horse really made great star wars stories. I remember reading those stories.some of the greatest stories along with the books.

Exar Kun is a Jedi who falls not because he's attached but because he has no attachments. When we first meet him in TOTJ, he wants to look at Sith stuff not because he's afraid of losing someone or not having the power necessary to save the world but because he feels entitled to it. Then, he acts like an obnoxious jock who racially insults the other students sparring with him, and then his master says something along the lines of 'there is something missing from you' basically saying he's a sociopath.

I don’t know where this idea of Exar Kun hating the Sith comes from. In the comics he was just curious as all hell, hungry for as much knowledge and power and strength as possible. His ambition is what lead him to the dark side, not his dislike of the Sith.

Ah yes, Exar Kun, the absolute undisputed giga chad of the star wars universe. Disney writers wish they could make a character even half as cool as this demi-god of a man.

I love that Exar made a double bladed lightsaber with a grip only big enough for a single hand. Anyone who has trained even a day with bo-staff will admit that is very cocky and borderline foolish… kinda like Exar’s early studies of the dark side.

Exar Kun thought like Dooku. He wanted to prepare for and hunt out the "Sith" but their masters claimed it was a waste and there were no Sith. History repeats itself.

damn this back story is kinda disapointing. At first I thought Kun was like wronged by the jedi order to cause such destruction or had a deeper backstory.
But instead he's just guy who snorted too much "dark side" during exploration and decided to cause mass destruction for little to no reason

Addendum, referenced film was in preproduction for over two. As it was all Lucas at that time, some intellectual bleed through is to be expected. Great video, but a small problem: there were still Massassi alive on the moon after Exar Kun's ritual. Even if we exclude the Massassi tribes shown in Star Wars: The Old Republic, there was the Golden Globe, as well as the Massassi in stasis beneath the great temple.

Marka Ragnos is truely a Herald of the Darkside. It's will(The Force) keeps pushing Marka to sire new generations of Sith in the Shadows.

If the force can't have it's desired balance like in the first force users era (The Jeda/Jedai) then it balances them as Sith and Jedi. However, I noticed that if either the Darkside rules it cannot reign for too long, same for the light side. The force always crushes the winner and restarts it again as if it's waiting for the next generation to take a hint. Both the Darkside and the Lightside are essential to existence but the morons on both sides (Sith/Jedi) feel they are right and better than the other.
