This kind of feels like fish vs camp, subtle vs bold drag. This is a good Do's and Don'ts for specifically those who are going for very femme/glamour styles, but the Don'ts side still stands out as a more well executed exaggerated style that would be great for comedic/avante garde drag performers.
It's ok to prefer one style over the other, but there's this myth becoming popularised that drag is just about being a man dressed as a pretty and convincing woman when there's really far more to it than that.
I would say this video is tilted more towards glamor queens, alot of classic queens actually prefer the dont side
ОтветитьBeautiful! Thanks for representing the green/hazel eye color! My natural eye color!
ОтветитьEtonnamment je préfère le côté gauche de Kam (son profil droit), je ne sais pas pourquoi MDR !
Ответитьwtf... this is one of the most interesting videos I ever saw... the way you present everything with your mimic really burns into your brain what "DO's" and what "DONT's" are... and the makeup looks gorgeous! Brilliant!! ♥♥
ОтветитьShow this to trixie😂 haha i love her super dramatic looks tho
ОтветитьI'm not a queen but I found this while looking up makeup tips for hooded eyes. My makeup always turns out kind of muddy and unattractive, and seeing the comparisons between the do and don't sides, i think i know where ive been going wrong! Really happy to have stumbled across this❤
ОтветитьWithout dialogue there isn’t much benefit to this video….
Ответитьstill bith side is beautiful..
ОтветитьI am a baby queen that has watched drag shows and performed in a small handful, but this video was so helpful.
The title isn't a "THIS IS HOW YOU DO DRAG MAKEUP!!", so it may not be for someone who is brand new to the art form and is unaware of makeup techniques.
However, I have been struggling with my paint and unsure of what I liked about it, and this queen has a final look that I prefer compared to my usual look. If you are brand new to drag, look at other queens who inspire you and watch them! Watch their tutorials to learn!! Drag is an art, and the only way to do it "right" is to have fun!!!
Find out what your face shape is and how you can use the space properly. I am inspired by trixie mattel, but her face is built like minecraft steve and I have a tiny diamond face. Her makeup, while impressive and striking, is hard to fit onto my face. Look to queens that have your features, as my face would better fit styles that suit violet chachki or blair st. clair!
The most important part of drag is that you are happy with how you look and aren't worrying about what everyone else thinks!
The Do side has so much stereotypically "wrong" with it that I can't tell if this was meant to be a parody or not.
ОтветитьThis is wild that you are saying there are Do and Don’ts for Drag. Drag is art and art is subjective. It’s ok for you to say that’s not how you prefer to do your drag, but to put it down and say don’t do this is not a good look. All drag is valid. All drag performers deserve to express themselves with makeup however they feel.
ОтветитьLemme just say- drag doesn’t need to be “pretty” the whole point is gender bending beauty standard bending expression.
ОтветитьPlease stop using apostrophes randomly
ОтветитьOmg I love you thank youuuuuuuu; I just watched this beginners tutorial that did all your don’tz! 😂
ОтветитьNeither side looks good…..
ОтветитьJust from the thumbnail - don’t: use your natural eye, don’t be darker?
ОтветитьDrag is whatever. No right or wrong with make up!
ОтветитьRespectfully all the “donts” work perfectly for Trixie so like… maybe just do what you want and works best for your face?
ОтветитьGiven that drag is literally caricature gender impersonation and satire of gender norms and expressions, I'm going to have to say that the title would be more apt as:
"Drag queen shows makeup technique Do's and Don'ts"
