ОтветитьAs always, amazing!! Thank You, Yan! You are an inspiration!!! 🙌🙏
ОтветитьThank you Boss
Ответитьabout loudnes level for each sounds, do you care about RMS value? or just the peak value
ОтветитьVery helpful, thanks.
ОтветитьThanks, helps a lot 🙏
ОтветитьThank you for this ❤️ Very helpful
ОтветитьLol, Yesterday I was looking on your channel for videos about mixing. Today I see you upload this. What a coincidence!
ОтветитьTame Impala - Currents pattern on the background
Ответитьfire track fire mix
ОтветитьUK representing. Big ups.
ОтветитьGreat tip Yan <3 Hope you do more of these!
Ответить💣
ОтветитьBeautiful thank you Yan! What do you advise those using a dawless setup to do? I've been using pink noise as reference then adjust according to taste for example but I feel that's not precise enough... :D
ОтветитьUseful & good stuff, big thanks!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьTop ❤
Ответитьdamn this is so simple but so helpful for reference, track sounds great
ОтветитьВ техно не должно быть шаблонов и правил
ОтветитьThe track is insane. Possibility of negotiating a Walkthrough ? 😅
Cheers
This is just gold... You get a sense of it but there is nothing like being guided and seeing and hearing it... 👌
Ответитьthis is a very good piece of advice. Concrete and direct. Hope you can do more tutorials like this!! Question. Is the sub also with sidechain compression?
ОтветитьPlease show equalizers on your channels. Should low cut be up to 100hertz?
Ответить@yancook as an artist:
This was a really resfreshing videocontent.
Nailed it.
Straight, simple, everything.
@yancook as a man:
I would wish, one day I will understand Techno as smart as you do.
Your Sounds are amazing!
You didn't only did your homework...
You literally explode.

ОтветитьThe RMS values here are the real gold dust I think. You can match these with your instruments and tonally troubleshoot from there (e.g : If you've got too much low end in your, your kick will sound too quiet at the same RMS value) and look at whether instruments need to be more dynamic or less to fit the framework.
ОтветитьTrack sounds fire - thanks for the level tips. This goes nicely.
ОтветитьThanks Yan!
Ответитьthank you Yan! awesome music as always...can I ask what plugin is "swiss arm..." ? is a max4live plugin?
ОтветитьWhat plug-in is it that you're using to measure RMS?
ОтветитьStraight to the point, impeccable video styling, critical knowledge
We’re blessed, thank you Yann 🙏
thanks a lot, much appreciated, incredibly helpful
Ответитьas always unbeatable...
It would be incredible if you explained how you treat Panorama in each sound.
Thanks to your material I have evolved a lot.
respect
PDF? 🤔
ОтветитьI don't really understand this video. Kick / bass you say -6db, but on the RMS meter it says around -18 db. I don't see I'm supposed to read this ?
ОтветитьTrack sounding a bit psy. Nice stuff man!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this, I started producing on december last year and have been very slowly trying to learn to mix correctly, I like to think that I already have done a good amount of advancements and my ears are getting better and better. These targets that you shared although they could seem very simple definitely helped me out so much, I feel like I always accidentally either over shoot the lows and get a very opaque sound or under shoot and end up with no punch. I just did a mix following my ears and adding in these targets and wow the difference is HUGE. Everything is in its right place and it's probably the best mix I have ever done. Thank you once again, huge fan of your music and content.
ОтветитьPicked up your sample pack, 2023, today. Kick in, catalyse some tracks of my own and the work done already from over the years, emulated.
ОтветитьThis is great! What’s the track name btw? Thanks!
ОтветитьDid you use a notch eq on kick and sub (around 400Hz), to bring the bass resonence up in the mix?
ОтветитьEven if you match these frequencies and rms values, if it sounds bad, it sounds bad, and you can’t change it… Your monitors’ accuracy, flat response, and room treatment are far more important in critical listening and mixing.
ОтветитьUse Ears wtf...
Ответитьyou're really a g!
ОтветитьEsto es oro amigo!! muchas gracias.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this. it has helped me immensely in where things should be. if some of the RMS values for my sound dont match with the same DB, what does this mean exactly?
ОтветитьDo you treat your snare just as a clap or do you have different default values applied to it when used?
Ответить
