what an amazing build, and finished kit! was wondering though, how did you get the spacings equal on the propeller decals? i usually try to do it by eye (not always successful!) or cut a piece of tape at the distance i want, measured from the centre to where i want the decal.
Ответитьgreat job
ОтветитьExcellent build. My favorite is the OD B17F, but this was an outstanding job on the G. Very impressive and realistic. Great talent involved here. Thx for sharing
ОтветитьSuperb work. Well worth watching your video.
ОтветитьVery well done!
ОтветитьA chunky fella
ОтветитьPleasure to watch that was.
ОтветитьHmmm spoilt a little by far too much weathering.
ОтветитьSaving this video for when i gain the courage to build my b17... any tips for a newbie whos not done a lot of weathering?
ОтветитьHello! I like your vid! What brand of primer did you use?
Ответитьbuilt one in 1976 bit of a story when I was 16 visited my Uncle with the family interstate (Australia) he was a dairy farmer at the time so I was bored walked to the local town about 6kms and bought this kit from a newsagent ended up chatting with him for quite a while turned out he was a gunner/navigator on the B-17 during WWII - wow what are the odds
ОтветитьHi, I’m new to model building. Can anyone offer some advice on a good quality starter air brush set for painting please.
ОтветитьAmazing modeling skills!!!
ОтветитьA work of art
ОтветитьGreat Job... Compliments!!!! 🤩
ОтветитьOkie dokie. So now having built both new tool kits, Revell & Airfix, which did you think the better A. kit and B. overall model in terms of representative fidelity? Appreciate the Airfix is a G and the Revell you built was an F but a release from 2012 based off their 2010 G tooling.
Ответитьyou model without gloves and still manage to leave no fingerprints, how?!?!
ОтветитьHello, I’m trying to airbrush the panel line accent colour black but it always shoots spider webs and all and I’m wondering what did you do to do it properly? What was your PSI? Did you mix anything into the black accent colour?
ОтветитьOn the spews the panel lines looked raised, but in the build most looked recessed. Did you use a panel line scribe over them to reverse?
ОтветитьReally stunning, lifelike representation, with a beautiful paint job. This was a great video to watch - detailed enough to keep my interest, at just the right pace, with any information needed on screen. Thanks for sharing your incredible skills with us lesser mortals.
ОтветитьVery good Job!
ОтветитьSo gratifying to see a master modeler at his craft. Video was equally well done. Many thanks.
ОтветитьEspectacular
ОтветитьI think that companies like airfix, should be much more careful about quality and engineering of its products. Recently I bought a C130 J Hercules in 1/72 from Italeri and I must say that the level of refinement is far superior. In assembly of cockpit, it can be seen steering wheels and if we compare both models, airfix results ridiculous because of the thickness and lack of rounded corners. Italeri as I see it, has a very different concept of engineering and is gaining more demand for their products everyday. Airfix should be aware of it. Even plastic is better for Italeri.
ОтветитьWhat a stunning build. The best I've seen. There are many including David Damek but this is number one. Who is this model's author? I bow before you.
ОтветитьThat is an absolute stunning build!!
Ответитьこれを筆塗りだけでやってのけた私は、ある意味すごいと思いますよ🤣。まぁ、ハセガワ製とエアフィックス製の違いはありますが…。
ОтветитьStunning! I remember doing the earlier Airfix version with my dad when I was a kid. It didn't have so much interior detail.
ОтветитьAmazing :-)
ОтветитьGreat finished result I'm currently building the airfix 1/72 fortress ..milk waggon..should have it at Telford model show 2023 ...Paul Atkins
ОтветитьWOW! Thanks. You don't shake as much as I do.
ОтветитьEspectacular...! Great and beautiful finish for an 1/72 model.
ОтветитьIsn’t there a little too much contrast between some of the pieces of fuselage the aluminum fuselage? What’s the intended purpose?
ОтветитьBeautiful build, I mean it. Thanks.
ОтветитьLooks good.
ОтветитьMy great grandad worked on spitfires after battles
ОтветитьSuper thanks! Good video, good model.
ОтветитьThe mighty B-17. A beautiful build.
ОтветитьWOW just wow, I was so lost in your video, so well put together and the video editing was excellent. Thank you
ОтветитьI have a B 17 Army Green Die cast model 1:83. Appreciate the intricacy involved in making this Kit and fitting it back together. Kudos to you. 🎉🎉🎉😮
ОтветитьA fitting tribute to the 8th AF. Half of the U.S. Army Air Forces' casualties in World War II were suffered by the 8th Air Force (more than 47,000 casualties, with more than 26,000 dead).
Ответитьbella maqueta👋👋👋👋👋
ОтветитьStunning result!
ОтветитьLovely build just one thing you used the mkiii version acording to the box art so where did you get the ball turret from?😮.
Regards
I don't usually go for silver aircraft , but she is gorgeous !
ОтветитьHello mr. Cloud.greate 2cu putting heart and soul into that ww2icon.
I build an memphis belle by revell in1994.thank u4sharing.with sticky greetings from sandy Brandenburg/germany.your modellmate.christian
Long life to the Flying Fortress!
ОтветитьYo! What's that glue in the blue bottle? Also, great choice and use of these paints and the spraygun. (I've seen far worse on another brand of a B-17)!
Unfortunately, the black base and aluminium overspray show a ridge between both fuselage halves in front of the cockpit. Sanding or scraping would have remedied that after the base went on.
All in all, a joy to watch your building and finishing ! Bavo on the fine result. Many thanks. Be proud !
Great work!
Quick question. What exactly did you use the duraluminun for? Just the nacelles?
Thanks
