I love Dark Souls 2. I don't care what anyone says. Does the game have issues? Yes,but it has a lot of great parts. The story is also great. I really think the game gets a lot of its hate because it's become popular for people to hate it

Edit - It has my favorite mechanic in any Souls game with the Bonfire Ascetic. It's a mechanic that adds something that no other game in the series/genre has.

i’d argue the reasoning for the fire keepers being blind in ds3 is due to the presence of eyes enabling the keepers to usurp the flame, as the fire keepers eyes are the key item to the usurpation of fire ending, also fire keeper says eyes are forbidden when you give them to her as they reveal things “fire keepers should never see”

The thing is, i play games like God Of War for exploration and story with surprises of what type of new enemy will i have to fight nxt! Don't get me wrong, the combat is great but a game like GOW is alot more than fighting enemies u have already fought for the 50th time! I don't think i will be interested in this in the slightest! I probably won't even download it! All of Sony's 1p games are all experimenting on multi-player modes, and to be honest that worries me a bit! They are desperately trying to find ways to make their ips into multi-player games. They have done it with Ghost Of Tsushima, then TLOUPII and now GOW whilst bangers like Returnal, they haven't decided to make another game in that world? These corps don't give anything for nothing! The only reason they are doing this is because they want their very own multi-player ip's when, the gamers that are attracted to that platform are attracted because of the amazing 1p ip's their studios are so good at making! Yea, Santa Monica can keep it! The funniest thing is how Geoff Keighley said its because Santa Monica are a fan of their fans to why the DLC is free😂 but that isn't the reason at all! If the DLC was worth putting a price on it u can bet your life that a greedy fuk corp like Sony would 100% put a price tag on it! They just know that it wouldn't sell shit if they did try penny pinching with a shitty Rogue Like in the GOW franchise! So people, gamers, please don't believe they did this cos they wanted to give their fans some free content! They are hoping it becomes popular! Then u can 100% guarantee they will make a full game of it! Returnal was a game that was perfect for a Rogue like! But forget that! " Lets make a GOW Rogue Like instead "🤯

I've always thought that Gwyn's boss music theme fits well as the music isn't about him, but about us players. We've slayed lords and everything in Gwyn's family, of course we already know we'll eventually kill Gwyn. The piano sound while mellow can either signify sorrow, grief or new beginnings as if everyone is watching and rooting for us as we decide the fate of everything left in our mercy; if we are going to link the fire and become the next Great Lord, or bring about an age of darkness and men to reign as a Dark Lord.

Dark souls lore is perfect because it’s just like real world history. A lot of it clear, most of it is up to who you ask since none of us were there. For example, Babylon had the hanging gardens but no one can explain them and they are considered to be myth. Had you been there tho, you would know for sure. There is a lot of things in ancient history we can’t explain like Damascus steel. Hasn’t been recreated. People wrote about things that seem mythical and impossible to us in the current era but to them they describe it with certainty. Even fans debating details is just like real life. History is written by the victors, just like how Gwyn lied about humanity, calling them pygmies when you see in DS3 that humans were often the same size as Lords like Artorias and Ciaran.
