ОтветитьThat pie looks awesome and good tips .❤️👏👏👏
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьI lost my mom’s pie receipt, almost cried watching this video. So similar to mom. Thank you! I thing she added a tiny bit of vinagar… do not know how much, she said it made it flaky what do you think?
ОтветитьNice. Pie looks great. I learned a couple tricks from this. Thank you.
ОтветитьFantastic video and the most awesome crust 👏👏👏♥️
ОтветитьI just love this. Sometimes I watch it just to spend time with your grandma. If she’s still with us, please thank her. This crust makes the best hand pies for a church picnic!😊
ОтветитьI love this video!
Ответитьholy moly, i have tried for so many years to make a halfway decent pie crust. I tried soooo many recipes, have done OK but nothing that i was REALLY proud of. so many recipes are tortuous, freezing the butter, ice cold water etc., refrigerating the dough, etc, etc. and always resulted in a dough that was very difficult to roll out. not one mention of the need for enough water. i made this recipe today, easy as pie, lolo and the result (peach crumble pie) was devoured (3 people) in one day!! the crust: perfection! thank you so much, i have now achieved one of my life goals!!
ОтветитьThat's a cute little home. It almost resembles The Brady Bunch house. My parent's home has two kitchens—one upstairs and one downstairs. Nevertheless, I can hardly wait to try this recipe. I'm tired of using frozen pie crusts.
ОтветитьI knew Gram's was the real deal when she said "Crisco" and I saw the Coumadin bruises on her arms. Thank you!!!!!
ОтветитьExcellent❤
ОтветитьThis is a GREAT recipe. I made this again today, which is the 4th time. But my shoulders are bothering me, so I mixed it in my KitchenAid mixer, using the paddle attachment. It only took a few seconds to make a beautiful smooth dough.
ОтветитьPartner, thanks for taking the time in making this video, it’s people like your grandmother that are the real treasures of the world.
ОтветитьI love that tin measuring cup! Family heirloom!
ОтветитьYour grandson is thankful for such a wonderful grandmother!
ОтветитьLoveit!
ОтветитьLooks easy, and delious😊
ОтветитьWell done!!
ОтветитьHow long does she bake her pies for at 400 degrees??! Someone help!!
ОтветитьGoing to try this!
Ответить👌💕
ОтветитьDoes Gram really get $1000 for a pie?
ОтветитьSorry I didn’t catch the oven temperature and how long a pie cooks ❤️
ОтветитьGorgeous pie ma'am. Yummy 😋 😋 😋
ОтветитьI’m wondering if I could use butter in place of shortening? I know it’s an old video but I love the recipe aside from the shortening, haven’t made a crust in while but I love the flavour butter gives the crust.
ОтветитьI've watched this video multiple times and it never gets old. I love the admiration and pure love that you have for your grandma. She must've adored her "little" grandson while you ere growing up , that's obvious now, seeing the pride that you have for her..and I can certainly see why. I hope that all is going well for her..for you both ❤❤
ОтветитьAll of my 66 years of my married life I have been trying to make the perfect pie crust. I followed your recipe and made a lemon pie for my 65 yr old sons birthday. Finally got it to turn out perfect. Thank you so much. I’m 87 yrs old. Better late than never as the saying goes. So sweet of your grandson to put you on you tube, Thanks, Ellie
ОтветитьNice video… would love to of seen the pie when it was done baking
ОтветитьThank you grandma for sharing your Piecrust recipe l always have problems thank you grandma and your son merry Christmas to you all
ОтветитьI’m doing this .. first chance I get this looks great
ОтветитьHi l just want to say thank you for your recipe lm so glad to find your recipe lm gonna be 82 on March 1 st 2024 and l was wanting to make a or for my son for Xmas it looks so yummy God bless you all and have a blessed happy Christmas Eva Zeller
ОтветитьWonderful!! Love This video. She is doing this the old school way!!
ОтветитьI bet your grandma can fry really good blue gills!
ОтветитьFar easier to use scales in grams,
ОтветитьI would have liked to see the cooked pie,
Ответитьgood thing she measured the flour into a smaller bowl so she could then dump it into a larger bowl. One post says, "I've tried for 30 years to make a great pie crust and never succeeded ". No way I'll ever believe that one. What's happened to people these days? Seems the more technologically advanced we get, the dumber we become. Grandma seems like a very nice lady though.
ОтветитьGramma knows best
ОтветитьThis is the real deal !! she is using shortening so I know it is going to be good , we also use lard
ОтветитьI'm watching this video again in 2024 for the 20th + time, even though I know how to make pie crust. I'm just sharing your grandmother because I don't have one lol. I hope you don't mind!
ОтветитьCrisco is the absolute worst thing you can put in your body. Butter is best also if you knew how its processed you definitely would never use it again
ОтветитьLooks so amazing ❤🎉 .
ОтветитьGrandma, THOSE CRUSTS IN THE GROCERY STORE ARE ALL TERRIBLE!! Thank you for your time in showing me how to make a wonderful crust for my pies!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰
ОтветитьMy dear mom used to make fabulous old school pies and cakes just like in this video. The pastry was so flaky and delicious I never forgot them. When we were at home in the fifties and sixties, she would put a fresh baked pie . Or cake on the counter every week. There was always a treat for us when we came home from school. We sort of took it for granted then , but I told her ,as an adult ,that she made the best pastries any child would want. I think that make her happy, because compliments were few and far between in our family, for some reason.
Thank you guys so very much for making this video. My recipe is the same except for a bit vinegar and i always find the recipes in books describing how to do it, but you don't get a visualization. Makes this fabulous and i love how humble and simple yet so full of Love it is. ❤ wish i could try her pies. Gonna make a pumkin pie today with this recipe.please say a huge thank you to your grandma from me. Great teacher and love how it doesn't have to be so complicated
ОтветитьThat is the BEST video I have ever seen on how to make a pie.
ОтветитьCrisco is best
ОтветитьUnbelievable I've been buying pie crust for fifty years. Every time I've attempted to make it the crust fell apart. I've use Hope's recipe and technique. Oh my goodness, the best pie ever. Thank you God bless you.
