I found movie to be a lag . Watched it only because Fahad is there. Although he acted brilliantly I could not relate to the plot. Just stupid and unrealistic. I love Fahad in Malayalam movies. His natural acting goes well with Malayalam scripts which are more realistic . I don’t suggest this movie as I am disappointed with the hype it created

Hi BR. Watch a lot of your reviews and sometimes check out the movies( I don't understand Tamil, so watch if they have subtitles). I watched this movie after your review and sorry to say this is one of your bad recommendations. The movie is completely predictable (Samantha and her husband part), Devoid of logic (Samatha's husband pretending to be drunk and angry), overdrawn (scenes could have been edited by few minutes and made no difference to the movie), the whole teenagers episode is meaningless crapfest only to serve as a catalyst for the climax. Vijay sethupati..goodness..the guy was in the movie for like 20+ mins and made it feel like 40 mins. Prakash raaj did a far better job some 20 years back. Overall I think the subject appealed to you so you were willing to forgive the shoddy screenplay. Sad that even you are not immune to the charms of virtue signaling

I don't mind if the movie is lengthy, as long as it's engaging. Every scene in this movie had a purpose. Even the lengthy scenes had a purpose - I was literally cringing in my seat and was yearning to end - which was exactly the director intended.

After watching your review, I knew I had to travel 400 Km to Singapore just to watch this movie, as it is not being screened here in Malaysia. Absolutely a movie that the society as a whole shouldn't miss out. Super Deluxe presented so many complex issues in a primitive and entertaining way. Thanks for the affirmative review, Baradwaj!

This movie would have been better without alien. Issues of transgender, extra marital sex, irrational belief could have been explained without alien angle.

If you have not watched the movie yet, don't miss manusha puthran climax speech. That gives almost all answers for the puzzles you have in direction if can't find then try in your own life.

Just don’t watch review as they are giving in so many spoilers., do watch it before seeing any reviews.,it’s a fantastic world cinema and it is flying past universal level literally.

Tamilaa pesuappa

It's an amazing movie..... I would even say it's one of the best movies in Tamil. The amount of details! I was searching for Easter eggs and clues in every scene... It was an wonderful experience and gonna watch it again!

my favorite part of this movie is minute details in it 1) when the "body" mattress falls of the balcony and the desi instrumental version of star wars theme plays and the scene is edited in a way to resemble the initial scroll that we see in star wars 2) when ghaji is in the tv shop for the first time as he's watching a song playing we see that a feature on aliens is playing in the second t.v down below foreshadowing his choice & fate 3) ghaji wears a shirt which has a half cat on it's front & the other half on it's back. i think it's symbolic of schrodingers cat & the quantum mechanics concept of "superposition" especially when the alien creates or pulls out another ghaji from the existing ghaji. 3) berlin says that heart is like a monkey and he gets killed by a t.v whose company's name is "flying monkey" 4) right before shilpa comes back home there is a shot of army of ants marching up & down the door frame with people in the background conversing and as soon as raaskutti mentions his father a large & a different ant enters the frame signalling how the expected guest will be different from others 5) berlin saves a worm in the station from being squashed & in the next scene he's cursed by shilpa and the whole shot plays out like shilpa is trying to squash berlin with her hand, which shows that berlin is the worm hence his unnatural kindness to the worm in the previous scene.

It fills you with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction that rarely a movie is able to give you. Many have tried and failed with the concept of “unknown effects of one’s action”, but Thaigarajan Kumararaja has delivered it with utmost perfection. And it, for obvious reasons, feels like an unpolished reflection of society. From Vijay Sethupathy to Fahadh to Samantha to Master Ashwanth, everyone has delivered one of their career best performances, thus making Super Deluxe nothing short of a masterpiece not just in Tamil cinema but in World cinema!
