i feel a meditation on the nature of life itself is warrented. what is being created here is already a near-sentient being capable of understanding its rough environment, and i fear we may only be seeing the harbinger of things to come. i hope we tread carefully going foreward, as we are in a sense already playing god.

If they could increase the refresh rate and framers for the camera, they could probably make it work even better, unless the recording is just slower then the robot actually sees

It’s just SO amazing to me to see this video. Then design intentional AI systems to improve it. This is where I think AI can do some fun stuff. Let us humans do the legwork and let ai finesse the details over 10 to the 8 generations and then check that.

so to put it another way, Atlas at its current stage cannot make decisions on his own, like if you say "walk forward 10m" but theres an obstacle, he cannot understand to jump over it and so on, right? so you guys set a stage, tell him exactly what to do, and then he does it? So in its current form, Atlas cannot perform any tasks himself, like for example put out a fire with an extinguisher, in a situation where it would be too dangerous for a firefighter, autonomously. because i think this is what Atlas is for.

Oh dear I just wonder when your robots will be purchased by tyrannical governments, paid for by tax payers to enforce draconian laws introduced by the holy Lord KLAUS from the world extortion forum.
Ah yes and I suppose you lot will bend over backwards , let your sale people talk corporate sale crap to get as many sales as possible.
Sorry guys but talk about shafting your own people!!!

Most sophisticated technology, seems to be almost alive. I wonder, if I may ask publicly - will a "machine" one day be as virtuous and worthy not only to carry heavy payloads around but to be holding the priesthood in order to minister therein publicly and safely ? I came across this question prompted by Jiddhu Krishnamurti asking, what will humans do when a "Computer" approaches and testifies:"I believe in the hereafter." ? Hope you have a wonderful day Madams and Sirs

and now we must use this technology to Destroy.capitalism..Replace private property with personal property. Replace copyrights with open source. And push for a constitutional direct liquid democracy socialist planned economy. So that we humans can be more freer to do what we want than ever before

What you are doing is amazing>>>>> BUT IT IS ALSO SCARY....
You are basically giving the robot to think•••• LIKE A HUMAN, PERCEPTION!!! KNOWING WHAT TO DO.....
HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WON'T PERCEIVE TO TURN ON YOU AND THE HUMAN RACE.....
YOU ARE DEFINITELY GIVING IT THAT ABILITY BY ALLOWING IT TO PERCEIVE WHAT TO DO!!!! YES?????

why don't you put a head set on a engineer and make the robot copy what the human dose and play it on a computer and see what will happen and ween you think you have it all
good and check you can put it in a simolater and then put it in the robot

I like to see atlas with chatgpt. To socialise plus geting better arms with fine motor controls. To do fine tasks like setting up coffee. It will be a huge inprovement. You can sell it after that to healthcare and the private market. It will be a nice butler.🔥🔥
