Not "Thane" rhyming with "pain", but "Thane" as in "Tha - nay", which is how the trailing "e" is used in many Indian names. This is just within the first 3 minutes. Wonder what else I'll find. Shocking that such basic research isn't done...

Most vibrant democracy in the universe is a curse on us, for a small railway line it takes atleast a decade to get the land acquisition done, imagine how painful it is to live in such a country and have your heart with it😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Neither part of this video impress me.

Indian Railways sucks nowadays. While it is cheaper than most buses and airways, it lacks the common and expected functionality of comfortable travel. LHB coaches are good step in reducing fatalities caused by rail accidents (in fact rail accidents have come under control due to much stringent maintenance and radical replacement of tracks on certain sections) but they're not comfortable, berths have shrunk in dimensions, lateral movement is worse and more jerks can be felt in LHB rakes and they're made of harder material. Apart from that, lavatories have shrunk to sizes that are idea lonly for elves and food sucks big time, even with availability of more vendors. Trains themselves are getting worse in punctuality due to lack of space. While unreserved passengers do deserve cheap travel, passengers of AC coaches can definitely shed more to get much needed comfort and ease of commute

So many facts are need to be corrected electrified railways is not 58%. It’s 80%. And it’s predicted to be fully electrified in 2024. Vande Bharat already operational and future plans for Indian railway is to make hydrogen train. Also working on semi high speed train in Delhi NCR. I know the video is a year old but just to remind u Chenab bridge is completed and operational too. So many more future plans to be done and so on . so let’s hope for a better future of india. Jai hind 🇮🇳

- There is also a double diamond rail crossing in Nagpur still in use!
- Also check out the Z track in Darjeeling (built during colonial times by the British) where a train travels in a Z shape to climb up or climb down a hill!

When it comes to India you can only show the slums and poor ? Is that what your so called developed countries media shows? Then I must say that your type of people and your media needs proper education.. you guys will show those coaches which is very less in today's Indian railways. Grow up.

False information in video.
When this video was recorded Indian railways had 71% electrification.
India's Route length is 68,000km ; Not 65,000km.
3000km is Standard gauge, Meter Gauge, narrow gauge.
Many these routes are Haritage Routes & Hilly routes.

What I liked about railways?
You sit in one state. And as stations pass by the landscape changes, the people's language changes, at every station the food changes, the specialities of that district will be sold on that station. It was such an wholesome experience as a CHILD. Now with all the burden on the shoulders, I find it much more convenient to take the plane. Maybe just maybe one day I become free enough to once agai. Embark on a train journey without counting hours, and I just hope that my country as I had seen it in past retains it's soul.
I even fondly Remeber people coming and sitting on my seat, and the. Having a long hearty chat with me. They are considered nuisance nowadays. But in those days it was a feast.
