Thanks for the video i recently had my screen replacement and after that my microphone makes a buzzing sound when recording ( that doesnt happen all the time tho ). Do you think its a cheap fix or i should let it be like that ?

I'm so happy with my Pixel 7 Pro. It's by far the best phone I've ever had, and im SO happy to have finally gotten out of Apples walled garden. So much more freedom now.

My pixel 7 died with barely a splash of water. I switched it off immediately and waited 2 days. It wouldn't turn on anymore

Hi, Hugh. Please tell me, could the master damage nfc and qi during repair? After replacing the display glass, these modules stopped working. But this surprises me, since they are at the back. And in your video I didn't see these plumes under the display.

Dafuq? This is by no means repair friendly, the first moment I saw the star-shaped screw I have already given up on this product. What's wrong with going with the standard Phillips head? I change phone batteries every 2 years, prying on the screen just to swap the battery just creates unnecessary risks. What's wrong with opening up from the back like most smartphones do? The back is made out of plastic so it's less prone to damage no? But nooooo... Google just have to emulate Apple and have their customers risk breaking a screen just to swap out a battery, not that your screen is anymore beautiful than other smartphones in the same price bracket, that bezel is thicker than Sundar Pichai's eyebrows. And no dual sim card slot? Fuck you google.

So what USB Type C controller is Google using? Can it support USB Type C DisplayPort Alt Mode ( display out )? There is a rumor that Google disabled it early in the Pixel series due to reliability issues of the USB controller they use[ed].

I am glad I went with the Pixel 7 pro as my phone. I just broke my display and was worried it opened from the back and I'd have to disassemble the whole phone to replace it. I'm glad that they went the apple route here and made it open in the front.

The LCD on this phone is like paper and very easy to break from a drop. Have already done many screen replacements on these.

Do you need the heat plate to replace the screen? And do you have to ground yourself to prevent damage from static shock like building a pc?

The main reason why a lot of under-screen fingerprint readers don’t work after replacement, is because they often need recalibration. Google offers a free software tool for that for the Pixel 6 and 7. Samsung leaves it to their phones to recalibrate, and when it fails to do so, you get an error. Apple is the only one to prevent it and FaceID for monetary gain.

Why is the soldering a problem?

Did anything look weird on the back panel camera bar? My Pixel 7 camera glass exterior panel just shattered out of blue. Many users are seeing the same issue. It did heat up and shutdown day to two around shattering of glass.

Please someone check if audio interface sound card can be connected to this phone directly with it's included USB adapter as my Pixel 4XL doesn't work like this but cheap Xiaomi works fine.

I found that screen resolution on Pixel 7 is much lower than even Pixel 4 XL's! Pixel4 XL has 4K resolution whilst Pixel 7 is only 2,5K which is at the same level as Xiaomi and other cheaper brands. The difference will be hugely noticeable in games! Using cheaper screen made this phone more affordable and I guess overall smoothness of interface and in apps comes from a lower resolution screen that doesn't put a lot of load on Tenzor chip. Pixel 7 Pro has proper high resolution screen though...

What's your opinion about the camera glass shattering due to the temperature?

I bought mine in October, had the mother board replaced yesterday. It is working better now than it did out of the box.

i am sure you are aware that many are reporting that the glass shielding the camera on pixel 7 are cracking, so my question is that is it possible to replace only that particular or will i have to replace the whole body?

I didn't quite understand what is the little hole next to the flash in the back camera. Is it a proximity sensor or a microphone?
I bought a protective glass for the back and I need to know please to see if it covers an actual microphone.
