Games just missing far too much it always ends up I take castle enemy takes it back I take it back then take one of there's they take one back. No vassels ever garrison troops and the costs become rediculous late game.

Going off of the title alone, I thought you were going to play the game using some crappy old guide written by people who knew nothing about the game and trying to beat it by following every letter of it, similarly to ZeroLenny's Dark Souls IGN Guide videos. You should try this once, it's a pretty funny and, imho, underused format.

Learn the average low and high prices of commodities,
Go around the world trading stacking gold,
Go to taverns in each town and find companions with trade and scout skills,
When you get to the perk that gives you renown per caravan per day, spam cheap caravans in every city and you'll be golden
