Fuck for that price you can buy an AlienWare with the core i7 and the AlienWare has much better lighting and better backlit keys with multiple color choices and it's faster.

Hello! Im an architecture student and would like to buy a laptop.
I dont know which one between the following:

Sony VAIO Pro SVP1321DCXS 13-Inch Touchscreen Ultrabook (1.80 GHz Intel Core i7-4500U Processor, 8GB DDR3, 128GB SSD

Or

Samsung NP940X3G-K05US 13.3" ATIV Book 9 Plus Laptop - 13.3" QHD (3200 x 1800) Touchscreen, 4th Gen Intel Core i7-4500U Processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.

Please note that I will use architecture software. Also battery life is a must. I found this two used at about 900. I would also know how the manage fan noise and heat.

dont buy this laptop. i purchased it because it was the lightest on the market and the reviews were good. Boy was this a big mistake. I had so many problems with mine. Wifi issues keeps coming up. Wifi would at times lose connectivity and the only way to reestablish a connection is to reboot the machine. During those times i checked my wifi connection on my iphone and it was working, so definitely no issue with my router. I updated the drivers yet the problems are still there. I had an issue with my trackpad, the left click butten wasnt working properly and my speakers made a crackling noise. i returned it to the store that sold it to me and i asked for a refund or store credit but they said that they cant do it until they hear from the manufacturer due to the warranty. They sent it to Sony Australia to fix these issues so they replaced the speaker and trackpad but the wifi issue is still there. All this shit happened in less than 10 months use. I purchased extended warranty on this piece of shit so im stuck with it for a bit longer than i want.
i have owned a Toshiba and Macbook in the past and have had less problems with those two laptops in 5 years than with this thing in 10 months.

on the non touch screen model.Please would you tell us if microsoft has bullied the new Vaio company into locking the bios to prevent business operating systems been run on the hardware. Locking of the bios is illegal in Europe but direct ordering of some models from japan may be subject to this practice ? Could you also do a review of the new ore inspiring red model released recently ? I am particularly interested as a business user weather we will be expecting a 15.5 size model shortly ?

It might be worth comparing this against the sony z4 tablet for value ??

well for now i prefer apple devices rather than any device by other OEM.

I have the 15" version of this. Love the look. I just installed a Kingston 256 GB SSD and it runs like a rocket. Boots up in about 15 seconds. Never had a problem with it.

I bought this laptop when it first came out, it has it's short-comings but it is still amazing and for me it's still one of the best looking laptops around

The touchpad on this laptop will drive you insane. It only works properly when the laptop is on a table. When you have it on your lap, it doesn't always register a click because the bottom of the case flexes when you push the touchpad. Anyhow I ended up selling this laptop and I'm happy with my new think pad X1 Carbon with its physical touchpad buttons.

Mine is still running strong! Got it in early 2014 with all spec and never really haven't gotten any problems to this day! 2017 .
Okay, after I updated to WIN 10 my Touch screen funktion started to fail on me, and so does the Assist button....Sometimes my Touch work, sometimes it dosen´t...Even thou, I never really use it...

What do you think? Should I consider buying this 4 years after this video?

Lisa, I am a Sony fan since I can remember. I was gutted that the Vaio division was gone, due to lack of PC sales, and now Sony don't do tablets anymore, or smartwatches... It's a sad world. :D But anyway, I needed a new everyday use/ work laptop and just got on Ebay, for a very good price, a Sony Vaio Pro 13.3" (256GB, Intel Core i5 4th Gen., 1.6GHz, 8GB) in a immaculate state. How would you classify a computer in 2018 with this specs? Many thanks :)

Can't believe i bought one of these 10 years ago - still in use daily!! I upgraded the SSD to 512, it'll take a 1 or 2TB. Easy to take apart, don't listen to this reviewer lol. Windows 10 for the last few years running just fine. Windows 11 is a step too far though. Oh yeah, and I'm glad I opted for the battery expansion - makes it a little heavier, but fits underneath so you don't notice it in normal use. Doubles the battery life.
