His premise is stupid and wrong. The whole point of science altruistic. Its purpose is to benefit mankind and the world by learning about reality.
That is why peer review is incorporated. If you want to get to the truth, you need separate points of view to help eliminate variables.
The scientific method was developed and improved over time as new discoveries lead to new practices and standards.

Hasan says "Reddit atheists" are annoying because he's one of these guys who identifies as Muslim on minute and atheist the next. And when he reads or engages with these atheists on Reddit it causes him to have to think critically about something he doesnt care about and thus finds it uncomfortable and/or annoying.

Also, Hasan’s position on these kinds of debates is dumb. They absolutely have value. As we slide closer and closer to theocracy in the US, they’re more valuable than ever. And if both sides agree that God can’t be proven or disproven by the scientific method, then philosophy is the tool with which that question can be tackled.

My version of being a Atheist is that I don't believe in any religion, even if I am not familiar with them. Because I assume that religions of any kind are a creation of humans, therefore its not reliable for me to believe in them unconditionally. I find religions to be interesting, and they can have parts I agree with, but I treat them in the same way I would treat any fictional story. They can have value, I can technically learn things from them, I can disagree with parts of them or with them as a whole, but I don't have to believe them to be true or absolutely true. The only way I would feel comfortable believing in a god would be if said god not only spoke to me directly, but also spoke to all other humans at the same time. In that way I could at least know I didn't hallucinate god talking to me if everyone also heard them, and I think it would be more efficient if god did communicate in that way instead of through individual prophets. This is why as a kid, I became skeptical about religion and I started to think that there was too much space within it for humans to lie and manipulate each other without god actually stepping in to set the record straight, therefore there is no way I could know what the actual truth is and what humans lie about when it comes to religion.

He says he would do everything he could to avoid that situation (lying to Nazis to protect their victims). I think he means he would not harbor them in the first place.

Hasan saying "debates don't cause people to lose religion, science plugging in the gaps does" is the God of the gaps argument. Checkmate, atheists.

I mean hasan is even scared to be in a true debate, because he only pretends to say shit but he doesn't want to confront the opposing people. Also that was a funny video , even if you look at the level of competency and qualification , hasan is nowhere near Jordan Peterson. It is funny that he gets views only for the person that he is reacting to. That much confidence in a subject that you have not read even one book about it in your life is so funny.

hasan! did you hear about how some of these debates can be considered a kind of fetish content? especially those that have weird titles that include phrases like "gets humiliated by" or sth along those lines.

He is not dumb, but he is so used at using language as a shield and in this debate since they are not talking about his favourite topic right now, that we are all believers in God (even atheists) he does not want to debate anything else. 

He kind of fooled himself there. Thinking he could control the specific subtopic under the this question. The question should be You all believe in god. And since Jordan is the one controling what the debate should be about he should have choosed that topic. 

Since I do think this is what he wants to debate. Not choosing that is him beeing a coward and wanting to have a big question so he could use language as a shield.

Whenever I'm asking a theist a VERY SIMPLE QUESTION and the response I get is either "Don't play games" or "this is a trap", I ask them why they think answering a very simple question is a trap? And if they think that's so then why do they believe what they believe?

Jordan Peterson is not dumb. He failed to respond to a hypothetical adequately but his contention still stands and has gone unanswered.
