Where I am living right now there is rain predicted in about an hour, then snow everyday until Sunday.

From S Africa. I have questions that some kind carp angler can assist. Firstly, we have many dips, pop ups, bait forms in our well stocked suppliers. But what is a wafter? Secondly, our waterways and dams are well stocked with carp, but also a catfish, locally called a Barber or Barbel. Barbel (Clarias gariepinus) will eat Carp bait and their takes are no nonsense explosive runs which can break line, they can grow to over a metre in length. I see many use the line clip on the reel to ensure the same length cast. How do you control large fish runs that will go beyond the length of the reel clip?

its beyond me how you can say its " the best day ticket lake in the country " lol, its just a mud bath on the pegs, in my opinion i would say Horcott Lakes is a much better day ticket water, at least the pegs are stone/wood chip, so no mud.
