At first I thought metroidvanias were excluded because they have their own lists but you put quite a few in there.

In that case why didn’t you include Bo Path of the Teal Lotus? I don’t think there was a better pure platforming experience in MVs this year. It might even be the best platformer overall.

Also missed some really good platformers line Garbanzo Quest.

There are some really fun looking games in here that I’ve never heard of before, especially frontier hunter and abathor. Thanks for the suggestions!

Just wanted to say Abathor does have a save feature of sorts - I'm currently playing it and it will save your level progress in story mode (as there's 50 levels, which is amazing!) so you can pick up where you left off, however you're character looses the upgrades you selected though you will be given money to repurchase them.
