Never saw bolt running on first or last lane.

Gatlin was always and always running to reduce the gap of humiliation and never to win the race 😂 Who's that delusional to think so? Sure they competed hardcore and he did push Bolt. But when neck-to-neck, Bolt leaps forward and the gap becomes a chasm in a split second while Gatlin is tearing & popping major arteries and blood vessels to stay relevant. His only chance solely depended upon Bolt completely buggering up his start. That's it.

Bolt's a once in a lifetime freak of nature. Absolute legend. Respect for who competed with him, but not really.

I still feel Bolt has more in his plate, watching this clip, sometimes he is a bit slow then in some he is lightning making others look like they are pulling chains. I guess it also depends how a person feels on the day.

It's like the rivalry between, jon bones Jones and DC. Every great athlete has his equal competitor that pushes him to be the best version of himself... Just like Jon Jones and Dustin cormier, if they didn't have such a huge rivalry, they probably wouldn't have been such a big deal... Ford vs Ferrari, DC vs bones, Tyson vs himself, James hunt vs Nikki lauda... There will always be someone else that pushes you to greatness.

If gatlin could figure a way to gain more speed off the start of the race, he is initially the quicker one with the smaller frame but usian gains more momentum as he goes... If you watch all these races usian comes back from the deficit, gatlin has the start.

Bolt was over the hill in 2016 luckily he still got the gold but he def was over the hill by then. Unfortunately being taller in a sprinting world takes a toll on the body hence shorter runners can last and are barely slower 0.1 sec in their mid 30s while Bolt is more like 0.3-0.4 off his pr.

I would say for it to be a rivalry both sides have to win, but I didn't realize that did beat him twice...out of 50 races...
