De skall inte skrota några Gripen C/D för att bygga Gripen E/F och "ha reservdelar" längre utan alla 96/98 får vara kvar? Känns ju klart vettigare med 150+ plan än 60 även om ett gäng är av äldre modell.

Sedan hur de har tänkt göra med dem vet jag inte men känns ju mycket vettigare att ha kvar alla planen. Känns som det borde vara väldigt dålig ekonomi att plundra ett plan på några delar för ett nytt. Men det är ju samma idioter som ligger bakom kärnkraftsnedläggningen och som nu håller på och gnäller om att eventuell ny är dyr - jo, det är den. Det är ny elnätsinfrastruktur med. Så varför gjorde ni så här? Tråkigt att ha skrotat Viggen om de hade behövts med.

I always wondered why the Gripen doesn't get any starting rails that can hold more than one guided missile, wether that be something like the LAU-88A the F16 gets for Mavericks or the one that the F-18 can carry (forgot what it was called) to have two Aim-120s per Pylon. In my eyes it seems like a massive boost to compat capability. I would have guessed that those rails would be just as compatible as others since it's all just Nato or am i wrong? Couldn't find much info on it on the internet.

God I wish that one day Poland will have Gripen C/E in their arsenal. As F-35 is cool, MiG-29 is such a beautiful plane, and F-16 is really good balance between Light-weight fighter and interceptor (overall Mulitrole), but Gripen alongside Rafale have something so... Magical... In them.

Não vejo a hora de ver eles nos céus de São José dos Campos - SP, a capital da aviação no Brasil.

I'm disappointed we didn't go with these instead of the F35's. An easy to maintain, and versatile platform would of served our undermanned military far better. I don't see the f35 as a good buy, they will cause us all sorts of headaches going forward with maintenance and ease of operations. It would of also brought back local production and manufacturing of our airforce meaning more jobs for Canadians. Instead we spent more money, on a platform that will be harder to maintain, and cost far more to run while not building a single one in Canada. We needed a cheap and durable workhorse, not a delicate stealth jet with expensive costs.
