This video helped me a bit I still have more to purge coz there are pieces I can't let go of yet just because I can't 😂 but I have purged so much I didn't even realize I had so many clothes. As I usually only buy one or two pieces here and there. Or one big replacement shop every two or three years. I found ripped clothes I've replaced. Items I can't fit anymore. Maternity clothing (my babys are almost 5), items I brought but didn't like for one reason or another and some clothing I had been given as a teenager I'm 30 next year... yikes 😬 I just didn't know where to begin but this video really helped and I know I still have a long way to go in my closet but 100 pieces are out and that's a good start

Watched the first 6 mins and my closet life changed. Watched so many decluttering videos and you made everything so clear.

When I switched jobs my categories switched and it was really hard to switch my closet to match. Still is. I had to wear formal/dressy at work. Now I wear scrubs. When I’m home I wear the same handful of shirts because they are my “everyday” ones. And I don’t wear many of my “good” ones anymore. I still like them though which is where the struggle really comes in.

The PJ/ leggings drawer, 100%! Going to tackle that this week!

I'm so glad I found your channel. I am doing this, this weekend. I bought the printable. The 'just in case' is my biggest problem. It has more to do with weight. I was much skinnier before COVID. That stuff doesn't fit now - but maybe it will in the coming year. This is my thinking that has me stuck with a cluttered closet. I don't know how to move past that.

I found this video very helpful! I have a lot of clothes that are sentimental, from my sisters or from friends that I don't want to give away. It is very over whelming because I think of my family when I see them! I find your video helped me to have a plan on which to keep and which to give away!

As a man my wardrobe is simple but was expensive to accumulate, nothing too edgy or trendy but every piece was tailored to fit my pre COVID body, if instead of purging my wardrobe I purged my stomach I would wear everything in the next year. I am probably 10 kilos from everything fitting and I just can't dispose of $20k of suits, trousers and jackets till I have given myself the next 12 weeks to go from Gut Boy to the old me again.

I found it helpful for me, to concentrate on colours too. I decided to wear blue, red, black and grey. So, with a black jeans, black t-shirt, combined with a grey or red jacket, and a coloured scarf as accessoire , I can go to work formally dressed, even when I use these clothings normally otherwise. I got the basics. They have to be there.
That doesnt mean, I dont have exceptions. I do have them, to wear for the holidays or going to meet friends, or in the summer.
The washing of clothes is easier too, because I can wash the same colours together. Especially red can lose colour, if new.
With the basics always being there, I can combine like I wish.
I had to wear a lot of formal clothing in my work, which was of course quite expensive, and I couldnt afford to buy each year new ones. I used some sort of eye catcher too, like scarfs or broches or something like that. And of course I had more than one t-shirt, all in red, but in different variations of red.

I love the tip to have your clothes by how you use them. I have been putting likes with likes, example all my pants together but some are lounge, some wear out of the house and formal but I have been having a hard time just knowing how much of what. Love this tip.

Great video! I like to purge my closet when I have a big load of laundry of mine or my kids clothes in the wash. Whatever is left in the closet & drawers (and doesn't get worn week after week) probably doesn't fit well or we don't like much. Makes my decisions easier. ✔️

Black pants, black socks, black panties, black shoes, colorful bras and tops. Everything works, don't even have to look at what socks or panties you grab, super fast and easy to get ready. Only choice is what top to pick. You always look fine.
