You do not mention what size base cab you are building. I would like to have known that. It would be informative to know what the sizes are needed for the unit you are building.

Is there a ratio or rule to follow for how much face frame goes inside the cabinet? I mean, would 2" frame or 4" frame be okay?

I'm looking for a couple explanations.
First, when you build your kick plate, why was there the extra stretcher offset to the side and what made you place it there?
Second, what's the overhang measurement on your toe kick?

Decided after watching your videos to take on building my own kitchen cabinets. So far, several new doors and drawer front along with 2 lower cabinets and 2 upper cabinets. 3 more upper cabinets to go.

Are how do you prepare your one by material prior to making face frames? Do you run them through the jointer?

Great tutorial....Im glad I dont absolutely HAVE to use a dado stack to put in a dado groove...or use a router for that matter. That concept always intimidated me. Will build my first official kitchen cabinet soon using your great help. Ive built a couple primitive cabinets using just my good old dear miter saw and trial and error. Hello, where can i find the measurements for the cuts and sizes of screws used?

Man, you don't even understand how helpful this was. I've just been commisioned to build a rolling island for a neighbor/friend and i had no idea where to start. I have a small wood shop that I have been building lights out of hardwoods in (I'm an electrician by trade). Stepping out of my comfort zone with this base but I'm super excited to shine on the live edge top. I feel much better after seeing this video. I already have the kreg jig so i guess I'm all set. Love all your videos. Your humor keeps it interesting not so monotonous!

Why do you need to inset the back panel into slots? Why not just slap it on the back?

Good morning, planning a massive kitchen island build and have been watching your videos-live them!
Am confused about how much width is leftover on that dado for the two sides on the bottom so I know how much width to take off the bottom to get the correct total width. I was hoping to get this from just purchasing a cabinet plan from you but don’t see any on your site. Not sure if this question makes sense haha

Is there a video where he talks about trueing up the ends or how he measures to make his cuts?

Are the drawer dividers in the face frame necessary? What happens if I install the drawers without them?

(I've already made and painted the carcass without them, I'm ready to make the drawers and trying to decide whether or not I need to go back and add dividers to the face frame.)
