it's not really a micro-polisher.. more like a mini polisher
ОтветитьDude, Its not meant to detail a full car, its made for spoilers, interior and A&B pillars intricate panels
ОтветитьThe holes on the top of the motor looks like the air intake witch is a big problem cause it looks like thats where your second hand will sit
ОтветитьHow long does the battery last?
ОтветитьThere's no way in hell I'd trade the PXE over that Griot thing. It's too bulky around the head, the angled pivot thing is useless, no optional batteries or plug in. Who cares about the switch either.
Flex designed the rocker switch for a reason. You haven't figured that one out yet, just go straight for the jugular and rubbish it entirely. Your assessment of the Flex is so biased it's ridiculous. Griot are obviously paying you for favourable comment.
What a crappy video.
Definitely looking to pick this up during Christmas as my second machine I have a Milwaukee 15mm DA as my main machine
Ответитьwhat would be better for 3in the pxe80 or the hlr75?
ОтветитьEveryone complaining about the control lever for the Rupes. Sounds like a personal problem for not being mindful of that 😂
ОтветитьHave ypu looked at the Shine mate EB210?
ОтветитьI'll stick with the G8, I don't see 400 bucks in value for myself.
ОтветитьThanks for this video and the information you provided.
Very helpful!
I have the PXE 80 and i agree that the trigger isn't the greatest but you get used to it pretty quickly. The Griots looks cool, but i would personally never use it as if the head falls off when polishing a car it could do a LOT of damage. I'd rather have the power button on the Flex than damage a panel on a car personally.
ОтветитьIt's not an inverter they are converters so they can convert from AC to DC
ОтветитьGriot’s disadvantage price is ridiculous $400 these tools have to be made affordable not out of reach
Ответитьhave you had issues with vibration? I tried this polisher out and the vibration was so bad even at 3600 rpm is was extremely uncomfortable. Thje unit was extremely quiet so very strange.
ОтветитьGriots now has extra batteries available.
ОтветитьGriot is ugly design and copying the the flex pxe 80 no originality . Thats my opinion . Copying flex pxe 80 design and the collor . Flex pxe 80 is great and hlr75. Griot is looks like hammer . Hahahah😂
ОтветитьCan it polish a whole car without overheating?
I hope a 5inch version is in the making....
Is the charger a free bolt?
ОтветитьWhat's amazing is this griots style looks like a Copy of the "knockoff" SPTA mini polisher? Why? How can a company like SPTA come out with a design that's unique before major brands!
ОтветитьYeah think I’ll pass going with the flex
ОтветитьDoes the 1 inch option only function as rotary not DA?
ОтветитьI too was surprised with the direct drive motor, otherwise a great tool if needing a versatile small polisher
ОтветитьWay to many fails with this machine, I do like Griots machines. However the Flex is gonna be better as a complete tool. Also The Flex has aftermarket 3”, 2” pads available . The quick change connector is gonna be a issue nobody wants to deal with and fumble around like that. Major fail on the most important part of the tool. Also the Flex XFE cordless polisher probably one of the weakest machines out, I’ve owned almost the entire Flex cordless line and the prior Griots 2”cordless which was similar to the Rupes machine. It’s Nice the Rupes new cordless machines give you run time but all the other issues overpower what good comes out of it. Same with the Rupes long neck super weak machine and brittle as well also at $600 for the kit way too much. Had Griots worked out this connector issue it may have been the best considering it comes with 3”,2” and 1” plus a rotary for $400 ish. Which is cheaper depending on where you get the Flex from , even on sale you still spend on the APS backing plates and rotary extension plus pads. But if Griots doesn’t get this worked out it’s a major fail. But let’s hope Griots gets this worked like they did with the 6” backing plates from the new polishers they put out. Can’t agree with this machine at this time. I also did notice it stalling like all machines do at its highest speed but that normal. But yeah Griots has to do better and one battery ? Yeah definitely not at this time does the new Griots cordless or the Rupes cordless overtake the Flex PXE80 as the best 3” and smaller tool available. Good video tho. Thanks
ОтветитьVery good video. I am surprised why Rupes has waited so long to create a mini polisher able to switch between pad sizing. I think that is the main reason why detailers keep looking into other options in the market.
ОтветитьThe flex is a great machine. What's there to hate about it? I love my mine.
Ответить$400 seems a little overpriced don't ya think ??
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWish was corded
ОтветитьThanks for all the polisher reviews over the years! Couldn’t have earned my own experience without them👍
ОтветитьI love griots. I used to go through the catalogs as a kid. So glad they keep innovating.
ОтветитьNice review. Not having the option to get 2-3 batteries or being able to plug in are concerns for me. I hope they offer these options in the future. My first d a polisher was from Griots and I have upgraded to their newer version and it works great.
Thanks Phil 👍✌️☮️
Great video! Thanks for the comparison and your feedback! The griots looks legit.
ОтветитьEvidently most of the engineers that design these things have shit for brains!
ОтветитьTo dissipate heat from the holes back of motor... ❤
ОтветитьPhil I got my neighbor cpa/realtor getting me a loan for a van and tools just wrote up a proposal
