I'm almost 31 now. I had a kid at 23 with a girl I was, I thought, in love with but realized I didn't know her that well. We had a rocky relationship at best, and from the start. I should have been smarter but oh well. We tried to make it work for about 7 years now but just called it eventually because we don't get along. She did love me I think, but there was too much bad blood. Before her I had a few very attractive girls into me over the years but I was either hung up on this girl or didn't realize until it was way, way too late. They're all married now and I'm alone. I had it good for a while. I'm not a handsome guy by any means. I'm skinny, I have a big nose, my teeth aren't great, I have a nasally voice and I'm pretty sure my hair is thinning now. But I've had some hot girls into me in the past. I don't know why, but they were. It didn't do me any good. Now I'm just regretful. I don't really have any family or friends to meet people through and my job is barren. Dating apps suck absolute ass and I'm not approaching random strangers in public. There's not much hope. Oh well. Maybe in the next life.

Dude, the hardest part about getting older while single is fighting to get/keep yourself in shape. One day you're as skinny as a rail and the next, you've got a gut that won't go away no matter what you do. Like you can feel the six pack and solid abs under the flab but the flab just won't leave. All the while you're fighting to stay in shape while you feel this creeping exhaustion in your bones that never seems to get better and you say to yourself "this is how it is now," just hoping that when you do finally meet a woman worth your time and energy that she doesn't see the life draining from your eyes as you struggle to appear as if you have a shred of energy left in your body. All the while that nagging "you're gonna die alone" voice in your head just gets louder every year, and you think to yourself "if I can just shake hands with the fact that everyone faces death alone no matter who" that things will be okay but with each passing year you start to wonder if this is really what it's going to come down to.
