I was a hotel manager for 20 years. She and her lazy staff were an absolute "dizgrace"

ОтветитьI laughed at the bit where Alex suggests they just take the table cloths off to save money on laundering them! The expression on their faces was priceless! 😮 So much meat on the plates that people want a doggy-bag. Cut down on the meat bill, then. These four people are clueless. There are solutions to their problems staring them in the face! They shouldn't need Alex to tell them! I love her way of making the point, burning the 'money' in the fire! Genius!

ОтветитьAfter watching it again, this is a ploy to get the restaurant made over. Alex cottoned on to the Obnoxious Four, who were clueless. I will add that the food looked appalling but improved after menu cut sown.

ОтветитьWhen I'm looking at hotels to stay at, alot of my deciding is based on the pictures of the rooms and bathrooms, and these rooms, especially the old fashioned bathrooms would turn me away for a more modern look, and a shower instead of a bath.

ОтветитьI have to say something that could be all wrong, but I’ve been watching this show since I’m doing my dishes and I have to listen a lot and not look at the TV and it seems to me that these people called with an unhealthy ulterior motive, because they know what they think is wrong with their hotel and they got together and they made a plan to get her there and complain about business and they thought she was gonna do a whole new revamp! go ahead yell at me saying I’m rotten….. I’m ready. That’s just my personal feeling because I am a little psychic. I must admit.

normal business rule of thumb is 1st year usually a loss 2nd year you break even 3rd year make a profit if not something is going wrong i have to say i dont like the painted beams and banisters you cant please everyone i like the two couples and im glad they stuck it out well at least for awhile

ОтветитьI don't like that little bunch of picnic tables there on the concrete in the armpit of the building. The building shouldn't even have an armpit. Maybe if they enclosed it into a 3-season porch, so people could still sit out there and drink and eat, without fear of any scattered showers or weather interference. That is where I would have requested a remodel.

ОтветитьSuper disrespectful they were thinking the person responsible for the bookkeeping and payroll for a hotel, restaurant and bar isn't working as hard as they do because her work is accomplished in an office upstairs where they cannot seeeeeee her working. Not very bright. I feel bad for her. Now all she needs is a computer.

The riverside was not used at all, all those people with boats you could have to eat and stay there. Missed opportunities. I would also take control of ingredients for the chef. Discuss more with him and decide together.

Always must include other costs such as hydro, rent, garbage removal, insurance etc....
We could could only HOPE for such profit in the restaurant/ service industry.
Why don't restaurants use smaller plates then it looks like your getting a lot more food & less waste?

ОтветитьDidn't like these "hotelliers" one bit. They wanted that restaurant makeover. There faces were a picture when they weren't going to get what they expected! Impossible to warm yo these people. They case seemed quite fake, manufactured.

The Lenchford Inn closed in March of 2023 for renovations, was taken over by Stonegate Pub Partners, and reopened in August of 2023. It looks like it’s now called The Riverside Inn in Shrawley.
They had money, made obviously no business plan and just invested most of their money in a place they had and have no clue how to work on? Hilarious!
