Hi first of all I like your videos. I have a question for you since you know about project turntables.
I'm planing to get a acrylic platter for my debut carbon DC.
Do you think it can improve the sound?
Thanks.
By the way the turntable it sweet.
i think it sounds awesome! no where near my price range tho . ended up getting a secondhand turntable today!
ОтветитьIt is a sweet turntable!
Ответитьwell if they can prove it results in no rumble etc then i can see its viable.
Ответитьsounds like an interesting concept, but being the jaded cynic that i am, my initial impression is typical cynic: it's a gimmick. sure, it looks great and it's got that futuristic drive system going for it...floating platter and all. still think it's hype. maybe i will be convinced otherwise at some point in the future. for now, i will take my regular turntable with the platter that actually sits nice and secure on something and no chance of the platter slamming down on the plinth if the power goes out.
ОтветитьWOW! Sounds very interesting, but the initial price is a bit high for my budget.
ОтветитьUnbelievable. I saw a 110k TT that promised to dramatically decouple the platter from the plinth. Who would of guess that a kickstarter could have solved the decoupling issue for 100 times less that amount. Oh, yeah, I'm getting one. and the rest of that money will definitely go to vinyl purchases.
ОтветитьCOULD I SEE THE FUCKIN TURNTABLE moran
ОтветитьYes, I would audition one with intent to buy based on what I have seen. It has some similarities I think with Bergman's air-bearing floating turntables but works on a different principle of course and doesn't need the noisy and unpredictable air pump. I would prefer a Decca to an Ortofon cartridge though...
ОтветитьIt needs a linear-tracking tonearm, like the on Yamaha's PX-1... THEN it'll be complete! That, or a fiber-optic one... or reading-laser.
ОтветитьFuck yeah! But wouldn't vibrations still effect the arm? Why not make the whole turntable levitate?
Ответитьif it dont disturbes the delicate magnetic field in the pickup it seems like a good idea.
ОтветитьIsn't it going to be difficult to scratch on these lol..
ОтветитьTruly a unique item which totally redefines the conventional design of turntables. The other manufacturers out there have something to worry about because it’s patented. I really hope to see this product succeed which it certainly can through technical development. Hope the production version has a tapered tonearm & better anti-skating incorporated. I wonder if the platter’s magnetic field interferes with the cartridge at all?? I’m eagerly awaiting reviews of it’s performance by Stereophile & The Absolute Sound magazines.
ОтветитьSub-titles please can’t understand a bloody word. But very interesting nonetheless..
ОтветитьAnd by now the Germans can really built flying saucers... 👀 wow!
ОтветитьThat look cool first time I see this damn I did not know they had this I wonder how much it cost is cool to chill n listing to your old classic record
ОтветитьTotal JUNK..Vertical stability issues. Just watch the tone arm bopping up and down like a hog bobbing for apples in a bucket of water. This is terrible for the stylus as well as your record ! ! TRASH
