Hey guys thanks for stopping by, if you like these short format how to videos let me know!
ОтветитьWith painted shelves, would I add painters tape along the line to help minimize damage before cutting?
ОтветитьNice technique. But surely it only works on only little uneven walls. If you get a wall that is very uneven, and vertically too, you would have to do this from both sides at once. (up and down)
ОтветитьI'm not that good, I'll just caulk it in, lol
ОтветитьNice job!
The idea of getting stoned on a Sunday in Germany might not be such a bad thing...😂
Hey thanks for the video!!
🤔 I was a little stumped how to get my cut with this “Drunk worker made wall”🤣 I appreciate the tips!
What about the sides? I had to force my shelf in, and there were gaps on some spots and very snug on others.
ОтветитьThanks for this! Just made some 8ft floating shelves and I've got about a 6mm gap at one spot due to my uneven1920s plaster wall.
ОтветитьGreat hack thanks
Ответить. Thanks. Hope you didn’t get stoned too bad. Prosit
ОтветитьGreat useful video, well explained and liked you gave alternative options with the tools. As for other how to videos, I’d love to see how to scribe a shelf to fit in an alcove with uneven walls please.
ОтветитьGenius!
ОтветитьGreat explanations, especially regarding washer size and which pencil to use. Thank you! Will follow you here and on IG. Also, I believe my house was constructed by drunk Americans in 1981.
ОтветитьThanks for this Dmitri; I have one question - what steps would you need to take if you need the shelf to be a certain depth/come out to a certain point? I.e. you’ve installed some framing and you need your front edge to come out to meet a straight support beam 10 inches away from the wall. In your example, the final depth of the shelf just depends on how much you end up taking off.
Ответитьyou know 1 mm is not bad at all where can i hire Miroslav to do my walls ?
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьthis video is very useful. But what if I have a gap of 3/4 to my left but as you move your way down to the right it's fine. What could I use to being that the washer would be too small. Thank you.
ОтветитьHey there, how have you mount those beautiful shelves? I mean, what type of brackets have you used?
ОтветитьThat wallpaper doesn't help you with this video due to the converging diagonal lines. Throws the eye off a lot.
ОтветитьThat's ingenious!
ОтветитьThnx for this idea. Im planing to do it. Greetings from Croatia ;)
ОтветитьFantastic tip. Thanks so much 👍👍
ОтветитьGood video thanks
ОтветитьJust used your tip for butcher block countertop... Wavy drywall and it perfectly
ОтветитьJust saved my floating shelf project. Uneven walls wasn't even something I thought would have been an issue until it was. Thank you!
ОтветитьOmg. Why use a protractor? That washer solution is genius! Simplcity itself! Thanks!!
ОтветитьThank you! Great tip on scribing.
ОтветитьWhat a great tip! I would prefer not to buy another tool just to put floating shelves in my bathroom. However, I know at least one wall is not aligned with the other.
ОтветитьDmitri great technique and pretty funny too. What method do you use for templating the sides of the shelf if it’s going into an alcove? Thanks!
ОтветитьPraise be! Thanks for sharing this little trick. I'll definitely be making use of this new information in the coming days as I build a floating desk. :)
Ответитьneeds more memes, but it's ok i guess
ОтветитьThat band saw is a banned saw on Sunday.
ОтветитьHave you been stoned?
ОтветитьHello Dmitri,
Good video... I would be happy to see more like this... I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Take care
Paul,,
Probably to late now (Your home must've been burned to the ground already for starting a bandsaw on a sunday) but if not..... great job, good delivery and neat trick. 👍
