GREAT VIDEO! How do you get the animation playing whilst still writing? I make similar videos :)

How is an ac source made? I get it with dc and a battery it makes sense but not with the ac. What makes the polarity change

I just watched this video as part of my prep before I attend a home inspector course. I know nothing about electricity. This was very clear and easy to understand. Now I know why my videos with Christmas trees in the background often show flickering lights that I don't see with my eyes.

You can actually see the ac cycling by watching bowling slo mo videos and see the lights flickering or looking at distant city lites.

So the light bulb and everything that is powered with AC pretty much "turns off" like 50 times a second but we don't notice?

I have questions for AC: Why does the volts increase and decrease? Why does 0V cause a change in polarity? Why is it better to use than DC in the mains supply?

Is anyone who could explain Why lower voltage dc produce more amps than high voltage ac?
Thanks

Hello guys recently I made a 12v Li-ion battery pack and used a stepdown to 5v, now what kind of battery is mine,dc or ac? Is it ok to go from 12v to 5v than again 12v since I will use a usb cable dc 5v to 12v so I can use the pack for the echo dot 4th generation. I hope smo will read this😅

I don’t get it. If the electrons in ac go back and forward, then most of them never reach the lightbulb. So if you demonstrate the current flow that way, then it can’t work I guess or am I wrong? I know that it has to do something with the electric field , which points in the direction of the lightbulb, but that’s all I know. Can someone help?

How can a lightbulb be flashing 50 times a second and we can't detect it, yet our eyes can easily tell the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps?

When you have a flickering light bulb, does that have anything to do with the AC?

So what with alternating current at 50Hz with a simple motor. Why doesn't it go back and forth in opposite directions? What enables a simple AC motor to spin in one direction?

In your example where a bult flashes 50 times per seconds in 50Hz, how come it does not flash 100 times per second as 1 cycle contains 2 voltage peaks?

Perhaps it's easier for a novice to understand that AC is flowing in a bidirectional way rather than calling it alternating which sounds more confusing
