At the end when John Malkovich asks "how does the chicken in the temple joke end" makes me laugh so much at his reaction. I watch it a few times whenever it comes up on my computer.

Love the interview...and seen this on my feed before..so this time I was paying attention to the rest of the set, etc..and noticed how RED her hands looked.. like she had them in boiling water. Wondering if lighting was off, if she has/had poor circulation?

John M, the chicken is an offering to the "gods" at the temple from the parent of the kid taking exams, so that they may get good grades. Offerings of livestock, fruits and flowers are common in Asian countries to those who practice similar faiths. I remember back in my day, the chicken offering was live, nowadays, it's steamed! Despite my mum's good intentions, I did not do well in my exams. 😄

She is so on point with her jokes and stories - absolutley perfect!
