I like how obvious it is that a lot of the comments "debunking" this video are just Americans talking about their "head canon" versions of France (I mean really, talking about how great France is? if there is one thing French people love as much as shitting on other countries it's shitting on France). Because rent and cost of living are rising even in France (and across the rest of Europe as well frankly) and wages + Welfare benefits are not necessarily getting better compensate for it.
Ответить"no air conditionning" is because of environmental legislations
ОтветитьThe end 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe inequality in the US is extreme, so 80% of the French still make more than 80% of the Americans. Let that sink in.
Ответитьgoing to France in 3 weeks. I don't want to come back home already.
ОтветитьThat's why your government collapsed
ОтветитьIn Italy every job under 40 hours per week is considered part-time
Ответить"Yes and euh, you, also have to live in France and pay taxes here."
ОтветитьI work 70 hours a week, I would get to a year vacation in no time 😂
ОтветитьDo they give you poisoned cheese also?
Ответитьi wonder how difficult it would be to learn French and move to France
ОтветитьI work 40 hours per week in Germany
ОтветитьI had a friend in Paris who was melting in his apartment because central AC is not common. 😂 That summer was HOT, triple digits and it was non problem for him apparently. He said, “ We are French, it’s nothing.” 😅
ОтветитьThe real repercussion is that you have to live in France
ОтветитьBRB crying because I was stupid enough to be born in the US
ОтветитьUntil recently people in France didn't even have Air conditioning. They're getting whacked by Climate change though.
ОтветитьThe cost of living in France is 1/4-1/2 less than the US, and healthcare is not a financial concern/burden.
ОтветитьHaha I worked OT voluntarily and went into office voluntarily during summer for the A/C. I’m in the US, but not every house has AC in the North because it *didn’t use to get this hot*…. A few days of sitting at a computer sweating bullets in an 85F degree home office got to me.
Ответить😢omg,I work more than 50 hours,no overtime pay
ОтветитьSo you get premium benefits but you have to tolerate hell during summer..
ОтветитьWell 7 working hours per day is 35 per week do ppl work that much more in the US?
ОтветитьFor higher paying positions they do pay less, however the minimum wage is $11.85, in the US its $10. They really do treat their workers better.
Ответитьeven brazil has most of these rights
ОтветитьAnd my friends laughed at me for learning French lol…
ОтветитьI just noticed you even have colored contacts
ОтветитьI remember a dinner party in London during the late 1990s when a young couple said how they planned to work in the US. The three American guests at the table who were currently working in London cried, "NO!" in unison.
ОтветитьIm in where should i sign?
Ответитьthe catch is that you're forced to live in france
ОтветитьHealthcare isn't free. You need to take a mutual for most things and social security is part of what is deducted from your brut wage. Of course it's better than the American system because anything is better than this. I know it's not that serious a video but I'm tired of seeing people on the internet teaching non french people that everything is free here when everything is actually paid by the workers, who are paid garbage compared to the price of life in general. And extra paid hours after 35h is garbage too. You'll quickly realise how ridiculous it's paid compared to the extra time you are spending at work instead of your home. 35h is the norm, a lot of people have different contracts around 40h without extra paid hours.
ОтветитьMany places in America list 35 hours or less as part time meaning they don't have to provide any kid of health care.
ОтветитьFun fact: American companies overseas do similar thing overseas, But not in their employees in USA. Yeh, keep voting for less benefits and less protection to you.
ОтветитьMember for that " half pay" health care is free, schooling and higher education as well. Many businesses/ employers pay for your lunch ( yes, at least one hour long by law) and your public transportation to get to work. And may I add in passing that the French population was in the streets over a ruse in gasoline prices. Imagine how they would react if 1/3 of the population lost their homes/ houses. Fact is, Americans put up with way too much.
ОтветитьAnd in Europe days are only counted as work days so its 25days without weekends, you basically get more than a month of
ОтветитьRight? America is fucked! T___T
ОтветитьIt's all relative though. If you are working in France why compare it to a US salary? You are living in France. Renting, buying groceries, clothes, entertainment etc in France.
ОтветитьThis is hilarious because, sure it looks good in the video but then... there's real life
ОтветитьSo I make $60k/yr, but I don't have to pay for medical expenses or an insurance plan and can vacation for 2 1/2 months of the year? IDK mam that's a pretty tempting offer assuming I got a house at a reasonable price.
ОтветитьPlease can i come
ОтветитьVivre la France !
ОтветитьAs someone who now makes half as much but gets paid vacation, only works 40 hrs a week and has a broad benefit package, all I can say is that it was the best decision I ever made.
ОтветитьI’d like to work in europe and do a 2nd job. Hmmm I usually worked 70+ hour work weeks here in america
ОтветитьEveryone is subject to there own opinions on where they live and how there countries are. Why are so many people from Europe wanting to live int the US then if those countries are so great with all these benefits?
ОтветитьFrance. The World's Strongest Economy.
Ответитьsign me up.
ОтветитьPeople in Europe are fine with working less, the problem is that in the states the cost of living is so nuts you really need a minimum amount of money to be OK and that number keeps increasing more than wages. You don't even need a car in a lot of places in Europe.
ОтветитьI WILL TAKE IT
ОтветитьThe Catch is that in France Half of the Value you're generating is taken by the French State :o) (With all different taxes)
ОтветитьBeautiful lazy country vs beautiful modern slavery country.
Avoid both
it's fun util you pay french taxes .
Ответитьbut I don't speak french!!! 😭😭😂🤣 And I'm so bad a learning different languages
Ответить
