INSANE Value and Quality BUT - Teton Sports Mountain Ultra Review

I guess with me being 6'2", this isn't the tent for me.....Out of curiosity, do you think that you'll be reviewing the Samaya brand tents anytime?

The smaller sizes are great for short folk like myself who don't need the extra leg length for mats etc. As long as there is vestibule space for kit this sounds like a good option. You should do condensation reviews having used a dehumidifying pack in the tent to see how much water is collected and whether they worked on a specific tent or not. Quite a few folk use them but you never see actual reviews on them in use.

Love your channel buddy. Have or can you make a video on your top picks based on your extensive test knowledge for each season and larger size tents for every budget category please. Thank you.

Always divide the person capacity by 2 for comfortably.

I got the 4 person version, great quality but small which I new going so no big deal. It'll fit 3 ppl no problem and a great price.

I would love to have you come up with a "starving college kid" setup list as my one son is going to be heading off soon to university and we can't afford much for him at all!

To start I’m 5’ 11 And I have the 3 man version . It doesn’t have the condensation problem you ran into with one man . I slept in it during a torrential downpour . When I set it up it had just started raining and by morning there was a couple inches of water surrounding the tent. Luckily this version has 2 doors and 2 vestibules . There was a dry spot at back of tent so luckily I could get out . It stayed dry the whole time it was like walking on a waterbed there was that much water . I recommend you trying the 2 or 3 man Version. The 3 man is really two adults and room for gear.

Could you test the Magellan king peak 2 its a backpacking tent you can pick up at academy for under $100 and has two vestibules and vents

At least according to the pictures online, it looks like the 3p and 4p versions do include a pull out on the sides of the fly. Interesting.

I purchased the 3 to 4 person version. Its absolutely a great tent . also you can fit 4 people plus gear. Or 5 people without your gear. Plenty of room, well ventilated, easy to set up, and yes most important it is totally waterproof. I've tested this tent many times in every way. I strongly recommend. Also check out there new backpack Scout and Adventurer series. Teton has stepped up greatly for your comfort and budget friendly.

I very recently acquired the Mountain Ultra 4-person unit, I've used it (almost) every weekend thus far in and around Central PA and the surrounding DMV territories. I 100% agree with every single pro you mentioned about this single-person unit; I'll gladly mention that due to the increased size of my bigger unit, even in rainy/humid conditions, condensation has been totally eliminated from the equation and is not a concern - quite literally ZERO build up anywhere. Thanks for reviewing this! I've been looking into the single-person unit for solo backpacking on some weekends and think it will do just nicely

It's just to small for anyone 6 foot+.

Surprising that the tent and sleeping pad are so small. They have a great selection of XL size sleeping bags that I really like.

Try Alps Mountaineering for quality reasonably priced gear...

Incredible tent for the money. The larger versions do allow you to pull the fly away from the body. After my 1st use, all i could think was, Luke was 100% correct!

Ventilation is great on the larger ones. They come with 4 vents, the ability to stake the fly away from the body

So happy I stumbled across this tent. Just moved to NC and I've been looking for an all mesh tent for the hot summers here. Specifically for car camping, So weight doesn't matter. Just wish this tent came in some Earth tones. Not a bright color tent kinda guy. Might get the grey.

The thumbnail for this vid caught my eye as I have a very similar tent from another company which is the Atom from New Zealand company Zempire. Similar size 1p tent that is slightly roomier than the Litefighter LF1. It has a 5000mm fly with 75D ripstop fabric, a 10,000mm floor and weighs just under 4lbs. I’ve seen it for sale at REI for US $179. I’ve used mine in heavy rain and never had a leak. The fly is away from the inner mesh so the airflow is excellent. The Teton looks good value but I can definitely recommend the Atom.

Just get the two person tent instead of the one person tent….
That should give you enough room to avoid the condensation that would form on the one person tent
