I guess with me being 6'2", this isn't the tent for me.....Out of curiosity, do you think that you'll be reviewing the Samaya brand tents anytime?
ОтветитьThe smaller sizes are great for short folk like myself who don't need the extra leg length for mats etc. As long as there is vestibule space for kit this sounds like a good option. You should do condensation reviews having used a dehumidifying pack in the tent to see how much water is collected and whether they worked on a specific tent or not. Quite a few folk use them but you never see actual reviews on them in use.
ОтветитьLove your channel buddy. Have or can you make a video on your top picks based on your extensive test knowledge for each season and larger size tents for every budget category please. Thank you.
ОтветитьAlways divide the person capacity by 2 for comfortably.
ОтветитьI'm 6' 2", what do you have for me?
ОтветитьGreat review Luke
ОтветитьWe get hosed on these tents in the UK....
£182 !
Still dont want one.... Im 6'4"
I’m 6.3 😢
ОтветитьI got the 4 person version, great quality but small which I new going so no big deal. It'll fit 3 ppl no problem and a great price.
ОтветитьI would love to have you come up with a "starving college kid" setup list as my one son is going to be heading off soon to university and we can't afford much for him at all!
ОтветитьTo start I’m 5’ 11 And I have the 3 man version . It doesn’t have the condensation problem you ran into with one man . I slept in it during a torrential downpour . When I set it up it had just started raining and by morning there was a couple inches of water surrounding the tent. Luckily this version has 2 doors and 2 vestibules . There was a dry spot at back of tent so luckily I could get out . It stayed dry the whole time it was like walking on a waterbed there was that much water . I recommend you trying the 2 or 3 man Version. The 3 man is really two adults and room for gear.
ОтветитьTent is designed for short people.
Presumably in China? (Average height 5'7").
Shouldn't be too much of a shocker!
Luke, currently the TETON® Sports 2 Person Tent is available from Marlboro using their points system and is equivalent to 540 packs of cigarettes, so the review you read might be legit. Thanx for all you do! Strength and Honor!
ОтветитьCould you test the Magellan king peak 2 its a backpacking tent you can pick up at academy for under $100 and has two vestibules and vents
ОтветитьAt least according to the pictures online, it looks like the 3p and 4p versions do include a pull out on the sides of the fly. Interesting.
ОтветитьLove the channel. Can you do more solar/foldable/banks ? I am the fence with what to buy.Keep up the great work!!
ОтветитьWell I certainly would not buy a small tent let alone a short pad 🤣
Ответитьlooks like a cheaper version of an msr hubba hubba
ОтветитьSounds great, I just need the larger tent, too small for me , I'm 6'5 ....
ОтветитьLove your reviews
Ответитьlove you videos ! Can you do a extra large tent review ?
ОтветитьCan't wait to see your next review because I am 6' 4" tall and weigh 250 pounds and I would love to see that review
Ответитьhave you ever try swags tents and swag bags you might like them or at least review
ОтветитьLooking forward to the 2 person tent review. Thoughts on using tarp clips to pull out the bottom for ventilation? Thanks for all you do.
ОтветитьYeh a lot of people make this tent and do it for a lot less then 4lbs jeez for a one person ouch
ОтветитьHey Luke, I recently stumbled on your channel and I enjoy your adventures and stoke. This tent is to small for me, I'm just over 6' and slim but tent too narrow as well. Thank you for sharing your hikes with us! Happy trails! Doaty, long island
ОтветитьI purchased the 3 to 4 person version. Its absolutely a great tent . also you can fit 4 people plus gear. Or 5 people without your gear. Plenty of room, well ventilated, easy to set up, and yes most important it is totally waterproof. I've tested this tent many times in every way. I strongly recommend. Also check out there new backpack Scout and Adventurer series. Teton has stepped up greatly for your comfort and budget friendly.
ОтветитьI’ve been a subscriber since right after you created your channel. You seem to be a pretty honest guy but you say things are bought with your own money. That’s just simply not true they’re bought with patreon money. You should acknowledge that and thank your patreon supporters. Because you’re making out very well for yourself because of them.
ОтветитьGrateful for your channel but more importantly, your integrity! After watching all your videos on this particular tent, I purchased one and am not looking back. First use was a great success! And many more to come. Thank you!
ОтветитьAgenda free, Ad freedom. Bull shot. Strength and Honor?
ОтветитьI very recently acquired the Mountain Ultra 4-person unit, I've used it (almost) every weekend thus far in and around Central PA and the surrounding DMV territories. I 100% agree with every single pro you mentioned about this single-person unit; I'll gladly mention that due to the increased size of my bigger unit, even in rainy/humid conditions, condensation has been totally eliminated from the equation and is not a concern - quite literally ZERO build up anywhere. Thanks for reviewing this! I've been looking into the single-person unit for solo backpacking on some weekends and think it will do just nicely
ОтветитьIt’s small it’s small very painful words.
ОтветитьI have had a Teton bag for almost 5 years. It goes every where with me.
ОтветитьIt's just to small for anyone 6 foot+.
It would be an awesome tent for a kid though.
If price was equal, Lynx 1 or Teton Mountain Ultra 1? I know both are great tents but if you guys had to choose, which one?
ОтветитьNot available in the EU it seems.
ОтветитьSurprising that the tent and sleeping pad are so small. They have a great selection of XL size sleeping bags that I really like.
Ответить2 man review Luke
ОтветитьTeton sports is a budget brand.
Try Alps Mountaineering for quality reasonably priced gear...
I have their -35 deer hunter sleeping bag and I'm using it in -26.
.
I'm seriously going to look at this company first for my outdoor needs.
Incredible tent for the money. The larger versions do allow you to pull the fly away from the body. After my 1st use, all i could think was, Luke was 100% correct!
ОтветитьVentilation is great on the larger ones. They come with 4 vents, the ability to stake the fly away from the body
ОтветитьSo happy I stumbled across this tent. Just moved to NC and I've been looking for an all mesh tent for the hot summers here. Specifically for car camping, So weight doesn't matter. Just wish this tent came in some Earth tones. Not a bright color tent kinda guy. Might get the grey.
ОтветитьThe thumbnail for this vid caught my eye as I have a very similar tent from another company which is the Atom from New Zealand company Zempire. Similar size 1p tent that is slightly roomier than the Litefighter LF1. It has a 5000mm fly with 75D ripstop fabric, a 10,000mm floor and weighs just under 4lbs. I’ve seen it for sale at REI for US $179. I’ve used mine in heavy rain and never had a leak. The fly is away from the inner mesh so the airflow is excellent. The Teton looks good value but I can definitely recommend the Atom.
ОтветитьJust got the chance to watch your review as I was interested in this model and brand (price wise). As always you provided a great review.
Ответитьin holland u pay 400 dollars :(
ОтветитьI scored this on Amazon for $56! I’m looking forward to backpacking with this. Thankfully I’m 5’2” and I don’t expect wet feet 😂
ОтветитьJust get the two person tent instead of the one person tent….
That should give you enough room to avoid the condensation that would form on the one person tent
Luke, get rid of the dark glasses!!!
Ответить
